Right... and neither does John McCain, he was brought up by right-wingers... So I thought comparing Obama to other politicians was alrite.. guess not. sorry. so ... that means everyone else, including John McCain, is off limits?  Smile

No. John McCain was mentioned because not only was the same question brought to him concerning eligibility, but it was by the person of this topic, Barack Obama. And the point was that Barack Obama said John McCain should do it but then he (Obama) refused to do the same, being the first candidate to ever reject the same group who made sure that Bush, Clinton then Bush Jr. were all eligible.

Bush, or anyone else on another alleged wrongdoing is off the topic of the thread. If Bush had failed to prove his eligibility, it would make sense to bring him up. But he didn't so it doesn't.

But you haven't proven anything.  Repeating liberal talking points and posting a few links to liberal blogs is not proof.

Would they settle for blue bubblegum cigar with a wrapper that says "Congratulations it's a boy!" from grandma's keepsake book?

At least I stayed on topic.  Why do we need his birth certificate?  He won the Nobel Peace Prize and that presigious honored awarded to outstanding contributions to humanity out to be proof enough that he must have been born on an island and not the largest continent as so erroneously claimed.

The invasions and the torture issue are separate and apart from the birth certificate issue.
But, it is a good way of throwing the light off the certificate and placing it on something besides Obama, and looking all the more like there is something for Obama et al to hide.
Ok. Look. violating the law, means violating the law.. we've been over this. One of us isnt "throwing the light off of" any of these issues... any more than the other is. I could sit here and say "you're just using this Obama BIRTH case to throw the light off of what Bush did when he broke international law." - its the same thing. Only, what Bush did, is in plain sight.. the governing body should do somethig about it, just like they should make Obama finally show the long-version of his BC to the rest of the world.

And Tantor, no - we've been over that too. Obama isn't keeping the long-version of his BC hidden because he has 'something to hide,' hes doing it so people will continue to cry "obama was born in kenya!" and make them look foolish. Both sides love it when the other one comes across as foolish. If you'd read over some of the previous posts I made here, you'd see that he was indeed born in Hawaii. So, all this animosity just because of the technicality of him releasing the long version.. seems a bit silly to me.

If we should let the governing bodies take care of the Bush case, and not 'harp' about them, then I think we need to also stop complaining about this issue with Obama's bc and just wait til the governing bodies handle it... like you said.

This is great.....If you'd read over some of the previous posts I made here, you'd see that he was indeed born in Hawaii. So, all this animosity just because of the technicality of him releasing the long version.. seems a bit silly to me.

Would someone please just inform all those people making claims and counter claims to just come here, read this guys post, and we can put this to bed.

Do you even realize how this sounds? Let me paraphrase...."If you'd read what I write you'd agree Im right".

This is a tired and over used phrase, how its usually used. but I dont mean it that way when I say i literally chuckled when I read that. It actually IS funny, not just because its wrong and Im trying to disparage it...but it honest to goodness IS funny!

Im not sold one way of the other on this BC thing, and Im certainly not running round the net posting where's the cert.

I do think you may be onto something in your speculation 23. Frankly ive mulled this over and can come up with only one reason he wont present more docs. I dont think he gets anything NOW out of not presenting them, the sides can remain polarized, no gains on either.

BUT, we (conservatives) need to be VERY careful......very very. When the next election comes around, if there is any kind of manner to associate the republican candidate with birther claims, an great October surprise will be to whip out the docs and make the candidiate and supporters look like morons.

IOW, regardless right now, come 2012, even if not resolved, lacking proof, WE best drop it, or it could drop us.

He is nothing if not clever.

I do not care Blah, and dropping it, is what Obama and others want. Sick of the right being afraid of the left, that is what gives them power.

1: Water-boarding is torture and Christians should not support it.
2: Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawai'i in 1961 and is a natural-born citizen.

Personally, I think they would better be able to prove that catheterization is torture.

(What does being a Christian have to do with it??   Scratching head....a little confused. )

And finally, all he has to do is cough up the proof.  It seems easier for him to find $1.4 to keep it a secret.

Youve crossed the line now.

Waving a thin tube in the face of Achmed is pure evil!

Why, the mere THOUGHT of catheter is torture....except for workaholics who dont waste time in the mens room.
