Smacking  Larry, my people were native to this land before it became America and was stolen from us by the European invaders.  I live where my ancestors came during their forced removal by the invaders, it is called the "Trail of Tears".  My ancestors escaped the forced march and remained here in hiding while the government forced the others to live in the wilderness of the west.  We are the Cherokee.  My late wife was Choctaw.

Hey brother - Ugg and how!!! You, LOS, Walker, and me are becoming a tribe here registered with the Cherokee Nation. Maybe we can run for some political office, force out all mechanization, bring back horses and buffalo, sit around some stupid campfire smoking peace pipes, and sit up our teepee on a deer trail instead of a freeway. Oldest Injun among us is Walker; lets nominate him Chief and give him a chicken feather for a headdress until we can overturn the killing of eagles laws.

o-si-yo u-do Larry.  ne-hi a-na-s-gv-ti tsa-du'-li ha-ni-gi www.wehali.com.  My best friend (Wm. F. Cody - not Buffalo Bill) and I refused to register because we felt it was just an attempt by many people to get money from a proposed Cherokee casino in Missouri.  I talked to an office of registration in a small town nearby but they still didn't convince me of their sincerety.  As far as the rest of the stuff you talked about, me think you smoke-um funny weed.  nv-wa-do-hi-ya-dv

Larry2 thought it was funny, but it made my head hurt.. <reaches for Tylenol>

Which 'Indian Nation' are we talking about ?? the Native Americans of which I could be a Member (Cherokee) but My mom said,"it's dumb, just do your best on your own, & you'll be fine.", or the Indian Nation that answers all my tech support calls ??

If it's the former, then yes it's a boon, & they'll make their mark again on the country. Although, they do need fair representation in the Fed Govt. Something I feel they've never had.

If it's the Latter, then ... Hmm... I don't know how I feel about this issue. My impression is that they are an honorable people, with high morals, who in the current financial crisis, they as a nation, are only doing what this nation would do if we were in a position to do so. They're taking advantage of it. How could I blame them for that ?? Sounds like they have good leadership to me. Also, they just purchased something like 2.3 billion dollars worth of gold bullion.  Not the paper that says they own it, the actual bullion... A smart move in my book.

Sheesh, the U.S. is printing more paper & monetizing it's own debt. And we're trying to get by on our own credit by our good standing in the world's market on our ability to repay debt...   Rolling on floor laughing  (sorry, I fell outa my chair, but I'm better now...)

This brought to mind something my Grandfather (Cherokee and Osage) said to me years ago:  "One day the white men are all going to kill each other with their nuclear weapons and then, the Nations shall rise again to reclaim the lands given them by U-ne-qua (God) and we will replenish them and pay honor to U-ne-qua."

We are all one under U-ne-qua through His son Tsi-sa (Jesus).  There are good white men and bad Native Americans and there are good Native Americans and bad white men.  May we all join together into the body of Tsi-sa and His love.

Does it matter Cousin Larry, that I am the only blond Cherokee in the tribe? I don't know, what do you think?
