Oh man the bad part of me hope she runs again just for the entertainment value. The good part of me hopes that a quality republican candidate runs.

I'm not sure how much I care about the AP putting a dozen reporters to fact check a controversial book. I guess it depends on how objective they are being.

But this article you posted is part of Fox's larger plan to promote Palin. I'm not sure why though. Why would Fox put their money behind Sara Palin at the expense of other much better Republicans?

At the expense of other much better Republicans?  Have you considered that they may want her to have a show?  Huckabee has one, but Sarah is better looking.

But is it a surprise to anyone that the status quo is maintained, that being that each and every word that comes from someone who deviates from the dictates of the Democrat party and their propaganda arm, the mainstream media, is scrutinized to see if if fits the statist template while whatever some statist swine says is taken at face value?

taller, better looking and smarter . . .

They turned me loose from the nervous hospital.  Said I was well.  Mmm hmm.

I would much prefer a fact check on both House and Senate versions of Healthcare Reform.

What defines much better Republicans? Ones that look a lot like Democrats?

I really think that Palin's book is an opinion piece. Whereas, if you ask questions of 20 people who watch an elephant dance, you will get 20 different answers as to what kind of dance it was.

Opinion pieces shouldn't be taken so seriously- you either agree or not, period.  Reading

Do you seriously listen to Palin and think that you want her to represent you? There are conservative republicans who are reasonable and intelligent and have all sorts of experience with national and international issues. Sara Palin has catch phrases but otherwise no substance.

I have to agree with Logizmo here, I'm a paleo-conservative who thinks Palin is an intellectual junior flyweight with no real grasp of issues, who should not be allowed within a thousand miles of the GOP nomination in 2012.  If she's on the ballot, we lose again - badly.

You betcha.

Obama did use charismatic catch phrases and he didn't have a lot of experience and he certainly faced just as harsh of criticism as Palin and was able to intelligently respond to it in a way that most people found reasonable and convincing. You may disagree with his policies and have other criticisms of him personally but he is an intelligent and reasonable person and one could hardly cast him in the same light of shallow ignorance as Sarah Palin (at least not in a way that the majority of Americans would find convincing).

Here is Obama:

http://www.thefoxnation.com/entertainment/2009/11/17/onion-video-obamas-teleprompter-malfunctions-during-family-dinner

There truly isnt a wits difference in depth between him and Palin.

She is indeed less able to weave jargon into her talks, and her impromptu responses to certain questions are not "sexed up" as good as Obama. But, I think he rattles platitudes in meetings as badly as he does in speeaches, and she MAY actually have more depth than her behind the mic persona portrays.

Im not inclined to be a Palin for Pres person at all. But I blanch when Obama is STILL credited as some intellectual giant. He isnt. Its lipstick on a pig.

His claim he made to Chinese students....what an absurd thing. he says whatever his audience wants at that moment.
It reminds me of Arnold in that Christmas movei where he plays Turboman. he is working on Christmas Eve and telling EVERY customer on the phone "remember you are my number one customer"

Are you suggesting our president was able to convince the American public that we wouldn't be in Iraq now, and somehow his healthcare plan was going to save me money? If Sara Palin was in office, would we be attempting to support, and pay for abortion with our taxes. I'm just talking because I know nothing about it other than as I hear bits of it in the news, and may not even have that right.

We have war on two fronts, contention with Iran and Korea with no solution in sight. What's next; threaten Israel because they want to protect themselves? Compromise with Hamas who would stab us in the back at the first opportunity comes at the expense of our allies?

Just my rambling thoughts.

gee Log, of course we do not want a Godly, intelligent, real person.  What? We want a woman like Nancy Pelosi, and super genius Obama, and Harry Reid, you know elitist socialist. I think maybe I will buy my kids a set of unholy evil Nancy, Obama, and Harry dolls for Christmas. Not really, would scare them. My goodness there are loony, and elitist. Log, I hate to tell you this, but, Obama does not like you. I am sorry no beer summits for you, I do not care if you reside in one of the fifty-seven states. ( just joking with you) we only have fifty states. No worries

Log, how could Obama be intelligent? He is wrong on just about everything. Oh yeah, that's the rationale liberals use on Palin. She is a normal person. I want a normal person as President. It doesn't take a nuclear scientist. Though that's what Carter was and he was arguably our worst President. (And yes, black people are normal, don't even go there).

Rightness or wrongness in policies is different from the qualities of being reasonable and having leadership skill. Both are essentially matters of opinion. If you think Sarah Palin is the best the republican party has to offer in terms of leadership and is the most reasonable spokesperson for your views then support her.
