Dear Matt, when we are in Christ Jesus, and that is any who have believed on Him; we can go directly to God's throne of grace in prayer. I've just listed a couple verses of assurance below. When a Christian lives in fear, it is normally due to their faith not being built up, and that can only be done by taking in more of the word of God. Gaining knowledge of God can only make you know He loves and cares for you.

If you are looking into other things that would make you think you are being attacked by the devil; turn from it now that you are able to. Fear itself can produce all sort of heart problems, or at least the speeding up of your heart, sweating, etc. God always stands waiting for you as He did with His prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Read the story, and go to a loving Father that will never fail you.

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:31  - If God be for us, who can be against us?

Hebrews 4:16   Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.

Dear Father, I want to pray for Matt and his need to learn to fully trust You. Bring him into fellowship with other Christians that can help him in his walk with You. Please comfort him now as he seeks the assurance of Your love and protection, and give him the peace to continue on with You when confronted with the trials in his life he faces. Thank You Father, and bless him as he surrenders his life to Your will in Jesus' name. Amen.

Dear Lord, Help Matt find peace of mind. I bind you Satan, in Jesus' name to flee from this child of God's mind, Matt, & Lord please release blessings to him now instead. Praying hard

Dear Matt1050,
Sometimes we as Christians may have some sin or sinful activity in which we allow for the devil to tug a "foothold" on our soul. Your thoughts are part of the soul. Jesus occupies your spirit, but the devil can attack our thoughts bc of some major sin that needs to be renounced. Only you can cleanse yourself of such sins so that you have a strong mind in the Lord. Let the devil fear who is inside you, even if you have to constantly cast him out in Jesus name till you figure out what is the sin or sins that does allow the devil these hooks in your thoughts. Cast him out if he shows his ugly head & eventually he will know that you are a child of God & not a slave of sin.
Remember what Jesus told the apostles. Yes, you can do the same.
See Luke 10:18-20.
And please remember St. Paul's words in Romans 8:37-39,
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Cast that devil out. He's already a defeated foe. Remind him of his place (stepped on under your shoe)

God Bless you real good!

You said you haven't talked to anyone about it, that's the worse thing you can do. Satan would love nothing better than for you to keep it in the dark, b/c that's where his power lies. You may have a medical condition that can be controlled with meds. Sounds like you are having classic symptoms of a panic attack. I would memorize all scripture on fear and anxiety and say them over and over again.

Here's the scripture that came to mind;

LUKE 10:19

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you

The Lord Jesus said to His followers: "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16.33

John 3.16 contains great theology.

Read God's Word prayerfully every day.

Try vacationing in the South: plenty of sun, and some great churches down there!

Yes Matt1050, saying another prayer for you today. Praying hard However, you should be checked out medically, since it sounds like your fears & anxiety level are affecting you physically & distressing you to the point of not functioning well.
Have you checked your pulse rate & blood pressure recently? They may be running too high & you want to seek medical attention for your anxiety before it gets worse & or continues on a daily basis. And also mentally it sounds like you are having trouble coping with your feelings of distress.  That is what tranquilizing medications are for.
I would recommend seeing your or a general doctor first.

God Bless you & take care.

if you havent why not let God mark you as his Child and off limits to the devil  in holy baptism.

Then when the devil attacks you . You can say iam Christs by Christs own baptismal right . And then sing and say praises to Jesus for the wonders he has done  and the devil will not stay long after that.
