I'll pray for him.  What does a Unit Clerk do?  Do you know how long he has to go?  I'll be praying for your whole family.

Thanks Annie. A unit clerk takes care of  personal records and paperwork in a detachment (ie, vacation, retirement, requests, wavers, orders, leave time, you name it). He is suppose to do at least one year in Iraq and around a month in Mississippi to train.

Respectfully,
Lauren

Thanks for sharing Lauren, and especially thank your hubby for serving our country and thanks to your whole family for theirs and your sacrifice!

I ran into a friend of my daughters today in Walmart who just came back from 6 months in Kuwait lastweek. I told him my cousin's husband just returned from Iraq, and that he is a nurse anesthetist (sp?).

He looked at me with such tenderness and almost tears in his eyes, and asked me to thank him, from him, for his service!!

This kid was in the desert also! And he asked me to thank HIM!

We have some awesome men and women serving our country! We should be very proud of all of them and thank God there are some so willing to serve.

You and your family will definately stay in my prayers Lauren!

May God Bless you all!

Memmy  :)

Thanks everyone,

It is an exciting time. My husband is always saying that Iraqies need to hear the gospel. Maybe this is his big chance! :D

Respectfully,
Lauren

Hi again,

My husband is leaving this Sunday for Camp Shelby and eventually Iraq.  It is a hard time because we live here with no biological family here and my children's temporary legal guardians down the road from the Church, have their hands full already, (sick aged parents, children issues). Thanks from Tennesee.

Respectfully In Him,
Lauren

Blessings Lauren.

Will keep you and your family in my prayers, and if you get down and feel alone, just PM me or something.

If you want I can get you my IM on msn and we can chat whenever you feel like it. Somehow that feels like being home when you can just talk to someone when you need to. I will be here whenever you wish me to be.

Hugs and many Blessings to you and your Hubby.

Tell him also we will be thinking of him and prayers will be with him no matter where he is.

Memmy :D

Striving,
I'll be praying for you as well.  Just wondering, what did you mean by your children's temporary legal guardians?  I'm sorry you have no family by you.  How far away are they?  Would they be able to come visit you or you them often?  Maybe that would help with the sting, of your husband being gone.  Do you have a supportive church group that you meet with?  Is there a support group that meets there where you live for families of loved ones gone over seas?  Sorry so many questions.  I have a problem solver personality, and I want to help you.  God bless you and your family.

Middle Tennessee. Thanks for your prayers everyone. As human beings, were helpless, although, most of us don't realize it until a "trying time" comes up. God wants us to depend on him and not on ourselves.

Respectfully,
Lauren

Hi! :banghead: My husband was sent home for kidney stones , something his home doctors said wouldn't matter. There is a lot of uncertainty at this time. He is probably will lose his full time military job here in the U.S. May God's will be done.Thank you for all your unselfishness.

Respectfully,
Lauren
