Will you please pray for a lady who is having bi-pass surgery (X5) in two weeks time.  Also please pray for her son and mother and especially the surgical team.
Thanks.

Michael  Praying hard  Group prayer

P.S.:  I'll call her 'Betty"

I'd like to thank you for the prayers for "Betty".  I had 'met' this person via YouTube.  She had wanted to keep in touch and appreciated the chat between us.
However, when I mentioned about this website and prayer going up on her behalf that is when she dropped me like a hot rock.

It was somehow discouraging and I felt like a fool to a degree.  It's easy to do nothing...but I thought maybe there was something  happening that only God knew about.  I thought just maybe hope could be extended that went beyond best wishes.
O well...live and learn.  The other thing I wondered about was the whole internet experience of communicating through cyberspace...what do I really think about this stuff--what boundaries should exist, are there any rules or protocol in regards to posting to people you will never meet.  I got burned by a fraudulent poster once and I had to learn a lesson the hard way. Sometimes I guess it's risky to go out on a limb for a total stranger. How do we determine when someone is who they say they are and that they speak truths and not outright lies.

O well...I'm just gently venting my feelings, or rather trying to determine what I do feel about all this stuff.  Anyway, take care.  I know there are many here on these boards who have a ton of experience on forums.  I guess in some respects I am still a rookie.  Like I said, live and learn.

Aww, that's too bad. I'm sorry that happened. I think I know how you feel. I've had similar experiences with online friends.

Prayers that the Lord will touch her heart somehow.

Amy...thanks for your comments.  The Lord may indeed touch her heart through our prayers.  You never know...maybe my posts to her rattled her cage to the point where she's thinking about stuff she never cared to think about before.

Aww, nice to have you here Amy! Smile

God bless you and yours.

Sure! That could very well be the case. In which case, we should keep praying. Smile

Thank you very much! I enjoy being here. I find that people on here are loads more caring than your average forum.

Lord's blessings right back at ya, Michael!
