It's the believing in God that counts.

Heavenly Father, help this one to find a right church to be comfortable in, one filled with the Holy spirit and loving people and a message of hope and the truth, of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, In Jesus Name, Amen

Dear Lord, Our Saviour, bless Basherbelding with a desire for knowledge, and for Your Word.

Help him to find a church that teaches the gospel of salvation.  Help his family to understand his desire for knowing truth.

Bring him to You, and may he know Your love and forgiveness.

In Jesus Name, amen   Praying hard Reading

Sure i will pray that you trust only in God the Son HIS  perfect life and innocent death in your sinful stead so you also can have his  salvation.

The important thing is to follow Christ and not man, whether it be your family or friends. I say this from personal experience because my family is roman in their beliefs and I chose to be Christian not roman. My family would get offended at any mention of the Gospel, Scripture or any reference to spirituality. Not that I was "protestant", but just because they were above such things.

I feel I was led in the right direction, I pray you are too.

Basherbelding,

You are going to find different points of view on this, or any other forum.  Your best bet is to read the Bible for yourself.  Ask the Holy Spirit to aid and help you to understand what you read, and He will do it.   Reading

You are precious to the Lord.  As the Scriptures say, "All things work for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose."  You are young yet, but God does have a purpose for your life, and He will help you find it.   Smile

Keep seeking the Lord, and have faith that He, too, is seeking you.  That is why you have the questions and interests in faith that you have.  Jesus said, "You have not called me, I have called you."  That's how much He loves you, to call you to Himself.   Amen!

Be strong, and keep seeking with all your heart, and you will find the wonderful things God has for you.    Clapping up high

Thank you for nailing this one on the head.

I've been through similar trials myself, and such a thing is prophesied.

Matthew--10:34 "Don't think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn't come to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
10:36 A man's foes will be those of his own household.{Micah 7:6}
10:37 He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn't worthy of me.

When you follow truth it is the best for everyone, even if it appears to "disturb the peace" (not that all disturbers of the peace are truthful, of course). What I'm saying is that by standing firm among your family you are also able to be a testimony to your parents for their own sakes. It might not always look pretty but it is possible for them to see your example even when they are not approving.

Baldasher,

Good points given here.  Being an example to your family is important, though not always easy.  One of the best things you can do is just model Jesus to them without saying anything.  They will be influenced, whether they know it or not.   Smile

As always, we are in prayer for you.   Praying hard
