Thank you dear ones, so much!
Just got back from the hospital. Right now, she seems to be in pretty good spirits. She did a CT scan this morning to see if it has spread to other organs but hasn't gotten the results. She says she won't do chemo. Doctor says without chemo, she may make it to next spring. With chemo, she may or may not add one more year on top of that. The gastro doctor has already said a large portion of her colon is affected by it - not just one little spot. He says if he were her age, he'd make the same decision.
The surgeon wants to go in and start cutting, so I'm not sure why, if she doesn't want chemo. I'll need to talk to him.
Guess we'll see in the next few days what the plan is.
Thank you all, again.
Also, my dad is extremely weak and frail with numerous health conditions.
Just a tough time right now.
Dear sister, do not be overly surprised if your father goes quickly down, because of a broken heart of seeing his wife dying~its got to be very hard on him. We will pray for GRACE for all involved this time would be as easy as possible, especially so on you. If they are children of God the day of death is better than the day of one's birth.
Proverbs 14:32~"The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death"
We all know all men die. But no one talks about it. Men distract themselves with jobs, politics, sports, music, drugs, etc. They act like death will not find them. But it is the surest thing in life!
All men die. But the wicked die much worse than the righteous. Death rips wicked men away from their toys and security and throws them into eternity without God or comfort. The righteous lie down in peace and choose to depart life for their destination of heaven.
The wicked~How will they die? The King of Terrors, death itself, is stalking them now. He will rip them away from every relationship, from every helper, from every asset. They will stand alone, helpless, naked, and guilty before God. This is how the wicked die.
Not so with he righteous~angels will escort them into the very presence of the Lord~to absent from the body is to be present WITH THE LORD.
Oh Lord, let me die the death of the righteous!
Numbers 23:10~"Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!"
Grant this to be so oh Lord.
