Reducing reliance on Cannabis.
« on: Wed Dec 07, 2016 - 05:30:20 »
Hi guys, need a little help here.

So I've been using pot sorta as a coping mechanism, especially with stress and anxiety. With a kid and all, I was probably looking for one that won't give me emphysema or psychosis in the future, I've been trying to ween off it. I'm down to 1-2 hits a day but it's really taking time to get the last step. I've even been trying to increase leaf and decrease bud to lower the THC effect from the behavioural parts to it. Could you all give me a bit of a nudge with this?

Thank guys.

Will do. ::nodding::
 I remember giving up nicotine when my children were small because I didn't want them breathing in the smoke or seeing me smoke, not easy, but being a good example for your child is a strong motivation.
Didn't you say that the family didn't allow drugs there?

Yes, and I continue to respect that condition. There's an abandoned park behind their back yard that I retreat to to go to have a puff so I can muster the motivation to start my day early in the morning. Sometimes another in the evening to help myself calm enough to sleep.

Carry on cutting down, and carry on praying.   ::smile::

Know what, D?

I am really proud of you! Proud of your willingness to be vulnerable and humble enough to ask for prayer over a subject that could easily get you trampled by the masses. ::eek::

May God draw near, minister to your heart when you need Him most and may He set you free from what holds you captive!  Even if its a slow process, know that Christ is your Advocate with the Father and the Holy Spirit is yours, to help, guide and lead you in freedom. ::hug::

God bless you!
