I am brand-new to this fourm, and would like to introduce myself...my name is Carolyn, and my husband and I are serving in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. It is on the east coast of Nicaragua, and we are both pilots. We help the local Miskito Indians by teaching them English, helping with basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter), and, most importantly, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have an airplane which is available for transport of sick and injured people, and to transport doctor and pastors to smaller communities. We will soon build a school for the local children so that they may have a quality education. We plan to teach the locals to fly airplanes so that they may make this ministry "their own."
I am looking forward to getting to know you folks, and let me know if you have any questions about us. Our organization means "house of service" in spanish. I am also interested in the experiences of other missionaries and maybe we can help and encourage each other.
