Removing The Competition The Story Begins
« on: Wed Feb 08, 2017 - 20:07:18 »
It was 2 am in the crime riddled city of Scarface, New York, but all was not well: no, for there was a deadly score that needed to be settled. The target? Frank Calbone . The chief rival of Styles Brockton and his claim to the Metropolitan underground kingdom.

There had been multiple heated exchanges that had taken place between the two men, intensifying even more over the past few weeks and each horrid encounter became progressively worse.

Bitter words had been exchanged. Scathing threats were issued. Both sides were equally determined to be the solitary rulers and undisputed Kings of Scarface, New York.

Dark ominous clouds, roaring thunder, and wild ravages of vengeful bolts exploded over the Lexington Avenue and 117th Street area, directly over the penthouse apartment of the now deceased mobster on the morning in question.

As Frank Clabone slept peacefully in his spacious two bedroom home there were no sign of the lurking danger that had silently entered into his premises without making even a solitary sound.

But suddenly as his eyes flashed open, right at the point of his final moments in the world of the living; a cold hearted and vengeful glare fixed upon him as the fatal blow that ended his life was dealt.

Mission accomplished. The killer looked around for a few moments, going over and retracing his steps before suddenly vanishing away from the scene.

Interesting story line and sounds as if it would/will make a good novel... though not exactly the style that would appeal to me.

Grace Centered though is not really the place to post such fiction.

Especially when we follow God who tells us...

...in Romans 12:19

Romans 12:19  (KJV)

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Now, if you could work someone coming to the Lord, and turning their life to God in your story... it probably would make it be a WOW.

Thanks for positive remarks!  But If you think that it should be removed then I will remove it by all means.
The story it self is not Christian in nature. I am a Christian that loves fictional stories and likes to write creatively. Yet, without the gore, filth, obscenity or anything that I see as offensive to my faith.

I don't believe that writing a pg-13 scene of murder that is done without the intent of glorifying such, is and of itself (Wrong) when depicting the criminal elements that are sure to be in a story world just as they are in the real world.

Even we read the Bible. The Evils that people did were not concealed from us. But shown to convey the realities of this fallen world and to make a distinction between what is good and what is evil. And also as can be seen in scripture that our Biblical heroes were also prone to the said behaviors. And had to repent of them.  Some more times than others.   But that continues to be our reality.

Now to be honest! I never gave a thought as to where this story would ultimately end up. But a villain (Sinner) being called by God at some point in his life to a knowledge of Him; like King Nebuchadnezzar: could be a very interesting venture.

I do have some Christian specific themed projects as well. And I'm always open to suggestions and ideas.
Are you a writer or more so a reader?  And are all the stories on this site strictly "Christian based" subjects?

Not a writer in the true sense of the word, but I have dabbled from time to time. Yes, an avid reader.

As far as stories on this site... that is not the intent of Grace Centered.

It is for education and debate of definitely Christian based subjects... Though in scouting around the various forums you will see quite an array of subject matters ... though all entered into with a Christian mindset, for the most part .

I for one do not see the need for you to remove your story because there are many forums on GC that are not directed only to the education and debate of the subject, but I do see the value of adding a christian perspective to your story which would could show the forgiveness of God as one seemingly soulless being found himself in a "born again" situation and then made the 180 to forgiveness and salvation over their inevitable eternity with the lost.

 ::headscratch::
I thought that was the intent of this sub forum?
