Saturday or Sunday does God really care?

Does God care if we worship on Saturday or Sunday?

Some people go to Thursday night services.....is God angry with them?

That the first Christians did not keep the old covenant sabbath was deliberate, and reveals that the earliest Christians were well aware that in Christ they had been freed from the bondage of the old way of rules and regulations.

In Christ, we are free to worship God at anytime, anywhere and anyplace.

No I don't think so. The days of assembly have always been the preference of the church's and they varied depending on regions. Some churches gathered on Saturday. Some on Sunday. A lot of them gathered on both days. Then there were special days of celebration like Paschal in the East.

My Church has service throughout the week and on Saturday. The official day of assembly is Sunday, although a lot of people go to Mass on other days of the week when they can not miss work or something.

Actually Christians gathered on the Sabbath a lot in the Early Church. Sunday too.

The Sabbath wasn't upheld as the means of rest or anything because the Early Church taught that Christ was the rest that the seventh day foreshadowed in the time before His coming. They did however gather on the Sabbath as well as the first day.

I believe as time shows that God is through talking, reprimanding and admonishing now and severe measures will be implimented and have already been set in motion.
Man will now reap what he has sown !!!

Just make sure God is personally administering those "severe measures". You Old Covenant extremists have been talking a lot about people being forced to observed the seventh day.

As for myself I do not need the New Testament to remind me. Besides, if the New Testament writers reminded us to remember the Sabbath then they would have been undermining the original commandment to REMEMBER THE SABBATH. And if YHWH says to remember something who are we to expect him to remind us again? This is more evidence of the fact that Torah is no more "abolished" than as if Yeshua the Word is abolished.

Also there is a definition of what it is to LOVE the name of YHWH ~

And what about that everlasting name?

I imagine you think Remembering the Sabbath comes from resting on the seventh day, yes? I dance in the freedom and quality of the New Covenant.

Just been thinking daq why people can't remember.
They can't remember something that has not only been forgotten but is actually being DENIED.
The 7th Day Sabbath was given at the beginning of Creation so it is not something people don't know or have never heard of. They know alright ! But since this world has become subject to satan 2Cor.4v4. he has perverted the human mind to all kinds of ideas about the one holy and sanctified time God has chosen for man and himself to communicate. But mostly it is being now DENIED...not just forgotten
A sure sign of total human disregard and disrespect for the Word of God though calling him LORD LORD .

They were free to gather on any day, and did, which is, by definition, not "keeping" the old covenant sabbath. Our sabbath rest, as Christians, is not a day of the week, but a Person, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the "better rest of God" for Christians...the Sabbath rest as well as the promised place of rest.

Those who love his name will surely not lose their reward because he is faithful to see his people through every trial. So long as we do not think that "keeping the Law" has anything to do with salvation because it leads directly to self righteousness. For this reason Talmudic Judaism is the most treacherous and dangerous of all the works religions in the world because in the outward appearance the adherent really can say that he is doing what YHWH commanded him to do, (albeit in the flesh). The reason those children of Israel died in the wilderness, (which LightHammer has made reference to) was because the Gospel preached to them was not mixed with FAITH. So ask yourself: what if it had been mixed with faith in them?

According to my understanding of scripture..meeting on the 7th day is about as important as meeting on the Temple Mount

If we meet on Saturday as an act of obedience, unto holiness and righteousness we had better not forget to bring our lambs, goats and bulls

The seventh day is obviously not eternal. Today is the third day. The original seventh day wasn't even 24 hours.

The fact of the matter is clear. God calls the Sabbath the sign of the covenant between Him and Abraham. The Old Covenant. All the things of the Old Covenant foreshadowed the coming rest of Jesus Christ.

Like I said I honestly don't care if you guys want to gather on the seventh day. My own parish has mass every Saturday. Telling me that I must uphold the Sabbath Day as the means of rest is blasphemous and undermining to the work of Christ's resurrection.

Not to mention Hebrews 4 completely renders asunder the mere notion of that sentiment.
