Me! I have a daughter with mild autism + adhd, she was diagnosed when she was 6 and now she is 14.. It was really a struggle for me in dealing with it because its new to me, my family or relatives doesn't having this disorder so what I did was searched (done my own research) and sought help from professionals, its really hard at first but you get use to it somehow. What made it easier was the alternative
programs that me and my daughter was able attend and until now we are still joining it. Programs such as individual counseling, family therapy, support groups, camps and therapeutic school. Currently she is in an adhd friendly school, which I think is good because their approach is individualized and they really focus on the needs of my daughter.
