TCU played in the same system as everyone else. Auburn won plain and simple.
A system created by the Power Conferences to advance the cause of the Power Conferences...
Problem is this was suppose to keep the TCU's, Utah's and Boise State's out of the picture then they had the nerve to be just as good as the big boys and ruin the big boys fun...

yes...it was all a conspiracy against them.
I wouldn't call it a conspiracy but let's be real, the BCS is a product of the 6 AQ Conferences getting together to try and create a "Title Game". At first the title game was the Four Major Bowls on a rotating basis, then they decided to keep the 4 Major Bowls and officially add a Title Game. This was all created by the 6 AQ Conferences, the 5 Non AQ Conferences really didn't have a say nor did the AQ Conferences care what the Non AQ conferences thought..
So I wouldn't call it a conspiracy but definitely a system that was about big money for the AQ Conferences and made sure the AQ Conferences got the Title Game shout, I will grant you Auburn had the toughest road going through the SEC but lets look at Oregon who had a cupcake non conference schedule (notice non AQ Boise St wasn't on the schedule this year after losing to them in 08 and 09) and played in the mediocre Pac 10, which only sent 4 teams to Bowl games and were 2-2 in those games. Meanwhile The MWC sent 5 teams to Bowl games and they were 4-1 in those games.
The fact that Oregon got the Title Game nod over TCU comes down to the fact that they are in an AQ Conference while TCU is not. The MWC is even with the Pac 10 and the ACC in my Opinion and certainly better than the Big "L"East in football.
Lets look at UConn, granted they gave 100% vs Oklahoma but had no business being in that BCS game in the first place, the spot should have gone to Boise St who was ranked 10th. But because the Big East is AQ they get the automatic spot while leaving a much better Boise St team to play Utah in a minor bowl game.
Now Utah and TCU are running to AQ Conferences, tell me why would they do that if the "system" was so fair. The BCS is creating a nightmare where we are one step away from having Super Conferences with 16 teams which will be filled by the likes of Utah and TCU's so they can have a chance at a National Title.
Your delusional if you think the BCS was created to give everyone a shot at the National Title, it was meant to give only AQ schools a shot at the National Title, which is why Oregon got the nod over TCU, because the conference they played in was the Pac 10 which wasn't any better than the MWC. Ask yourself this question, If Oregon played TCU who would you take, smart money is on TCU...
