To continue a thought about the Broncos on another thread, I see that many commentators have jumped on the Chargers' bandwagon. Both the Broncos and the 'Bolts are 3-1 at this point. However, the Broncos beat the Ravens tonight, who beat the Chargers last week. That should mean the Broncos are the better team, right? We'll see.
Of course, the Broncos and the Chargers will play two games head to head.
Too, the two teams play the same opponents all season, with two very notable exceptions: 1) from the AFC East, Denver plays (has already defeated, actually) New England (4-1 so far), while San Diego will play Buffalo (2-3 so far); and 2) from the AFC South, Denver plays Indianapolis (5-0), while the 'Bolts have already played and defeated Tennessee (0-5). Taken together, Denver's tougher schedule versus San Diego's easier schedule gives an advantage to San Diego.
Having said that, it all boils down to this: will Jake step up or won't he?
