The ones that surprise me are: California and Notre Dame. Not sure they deserve to be in there yet. But they could show me.

I wonder how Texas will fare in the polls after getting seriously scared by unranked Texas Tech. I'm sure it won't help Tech in the polls to have played the #2 team closely, but Texas should drop a spot or two after such a disappointing scare at HOME.

But don't look for it, Texas could vote to drop the football program all together and still be in the top 5 perennialy.

I'm not sure just which poll that is, but it's definitely skewed.  In the prestigious AP poll Ohio State is #13, Michigan isn #23, and Notre Dame isn't even in the Top 25. The fact that Michigan is not in the Top 25 in the poll quoted here and Notre Dame is is about as crazy as it gets.  Michigan beat Notre Dame, and the Irish struggled to eek out a win over Michigan State, which was beaten a week earlier by Central Michigan.

That AP poll I've seen; but I still would like to know where you got that "ESPN poll"? It doesn't match up with any poll I've ever seen on the ESPN Website.
