Last year, my girlfriend and I went to Lincoln Financial Field to see the Eagles vs. the Steelers. Being a Steelers fan I couldn't route for my team as the fans were unruly to say the least!

Please no offence to Philly fans but it was a cesspool of the worst people there. They were getting into peoples faces for no reason and swearing terribly with 5 year old children around.

I am sure it happens EVERYWHERE but it sucks that you can't enjoy a day out at one of these events.

Anyone have any similar situations?

Ironically, yes, in Pittsburgh.  A few years back I attended a Sunday night game, and many had tailgated all day.  The guys seated next to us said the people who had the season tickets for our seats sold them every week because they didn't want to sit next to them.  I was threatened unitl I could produce evidence I was a Steelers' fan (I wore a hat), and our drunken seatmates spilled beer on us, cussed constantly, and spent time trowing things down into the bed of the sponsor's truck displayed on the field below.

But that was all in good fun, and they disappeard at halftime.

At halftime, though, I saw a young man standing and screaming in his girlfriends face, using all kinds of expletives.  That was disgusting.  I've always regretted not saying anything.

I have been to four Seattle Mariner games over the past 2 years, pretty well behaved crowds in my opinion. Not once did I see any fan on fan confrontations, a few people had a few too many and were yelling at the umpires, but that is to be expected at any sports venue.

my humble 2 cents

I've never noticed such sorry behavior at games, but I've only gone to games here in the south.  Hearing of such sorry behavior from yankees is not a surprise.

Try watching the replay of Florida/Georgia this past weekend where that Florida linebacker tried to gauge the eyes of the Georgia RB out... oh wait a minute that is behavior on the field!!!!

Punishment for trying to take someones eyes out: Sitting out one half against Vanderbilt!!! WOW, that is some steep punishment they dish out down there,  if you actually blind somebody do they make you sit out an entire game???

my humble 2 cents
