Watching the Goal Line Stand reminded me of when I was at Bama around 1992. They were having a big celebration on the Quad marking a hundrend years of Bama football. So I went there just to roam around and see the events. I got tired of walking so I sat down on this bench next to this husband and wife. We were sitting there talking for about 30 or 40 minutes. Every now and then somebody would come up and say to the man and his wife "Good to see ya'll again" and then talk a little. After awhile somebody comes up and asks the man for his autograph, it was Barry Krauss!

Our family wasn't really into football when I was growing up so I didn't know alot about the football Bama history (though I did know about the Goal Line Stand, just didn't know names or faces). I'm was always impressed by the fact that Mr. Krauss and his wife sat there and chit-chatted with a little nobody student like me.
