I suspect heaven for me will be one big raquetball tournament where I win every game (blindfolded of course) just to make it competitive.

So what will you be doing in Heaven while everybody else is playing baseball?
If...a person knows their Bible, they also know that such games, will not be heaven.

Does that kill your desire to be there then ?

The Bible says much about Baseball.  It even starts out, "In the big inning...."

Is that in the book that Paul wrote to the BattleCreekians?

Genesis also mentions how Rebekah, Isaac's future wife, managed a baseball team.  It talks specifically about Rebekah taking out the pitcher.

3A.M., I assume then that you have no hobbies whatsoever?

-You never watch TV
-You don't read any book other than the Bible
-You don't ever play a video game
-You don't ever watch a movie
-You don't ever go out for a meal with friends
-You never play charades
-You don't go on vacations to other places you find fun and interesting
-You don't go to websites you find fun and interesting
-You don't play a musical instrument
-You don't listen to music
-You don't look at paintings
-You don't look through magazines occasionally
-You don't move furniture around in a room so that the room is more appealing
-You don't go for casuals strolls in your neighborhood or through the woods
-No bird watching!
-No fishing!
-You don't play hide and seek with your children (or you won't when/if you have any)
-You don't ever dance...even to joke around
-You don't joke
-You don't listen to jokes
-You don't go to plays
-You don't take pictures
-You don't go to birthday parties
-You don't sit on a porch swing or any swing that might be fun
-You don't swim

Do tell. And while you're at it, show me the verse that says we won't play baseball (or any sports) when we're in Heaven. And by the way, just for saying that, in Heaven (technically the New Earth) you can't be on my team!

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NLT, "Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified."

It's odd to me, if 3AM were correct, that Paul would have used an illustration from sports as an analogy for his ministry.  If such sport is sinful, then it's like saying, "Don't you realize that in stealing, everyone works to gain the prize? So scheme to get away with it!..." or "Don't you realize that in adultery, everyone seduces to bed the woman?  So sleeze to win!"

Nope.  That simply doesn't pass the sniff test.

How is it being used ?

That is what determines whether it can be good, or bad.

I use my computer to reach people around the world, with the Gospel message.......would you consider that a bad thing ?

Is this guy for real?. if we are to believe everything he says we will all have to sit in our houses and never do anything or go anywhere. The way that sports in the UK has been cut from the schools so much has enabled kids to become even more overweight.
Also 3am isnt weightlifting a sport?maybe you need to stop that also or you wont get to heaven either.
if God wants us to be healthy what better way that to participate in sports.  Its like anything, good in moderation. if sport becomes out of balance and we are spending all of our time watching it or doing it, them maybe its time to cut down but it a good and healthy way to keep fit, interact with others, make friends and spread the gospel.

3am you may have a healthy out door life but many work in offices and on computers etc and they need sport to keep fit and healthy and to unwind.
I still dont know if you are for real or just trying to get others reactions to the things that you say we cant do.

3 AM, as do many people who play sports.

This should be a no brainer. No matter what we do, whether in word or deed, or in work and play, if we give credit, glory and honor to God for and in all things, we would be using all things to minister to all.

After all, God gives the abilities and gifts. It's up to us to give them back by giving credit where credit is due.
