The Detroit Polepuddies (Lions-kum-Skunks) have taken another step toward the record book with their 12th loss of the season.  The score?  Titans 47, Polepuddies 10.

Whistling

At least, we got to see Vince Young play a little for the first time in a while.

It was like the Titans were up against me on that field. Rolling on floor laughing

Is he the high-pitched guy that sings with Reba sometimes?

You may be thinking of Vince GillWink

Vince Young was the number one draft pick in 2006 after leading Texas in a national championship win in the Rose Bowl, if you remember that.

He had a good first year with the Titans.  Last year, as the starting quarterback, he struggled a bit.  And this year, after an injury in week one and a poor performance in general, he was replaced by Kerry Collins as the starting quarterback.  Collins led to an undefeated 10 straight wins, until their first loss to the Jets on Sunday.  With yesterday's win, they are 11-1.

Ah, but there really is a differeence.  Vince Gil can sing, and Vince Young can play football, and neither could successfully switch roles.

I don't know, if Young went to AI and Gill to the Lions, they might do well.  Pondering

Those loveable, laughable Polepuddies (Detroit Lions) are just three games away from setting a most dubious record: First time in NFL history to go 0-16.  In the next game, Minnesota is favored by 8, and the remaining two teams should have no trouble with our stinky fellows.  The problem is that the Lions have a nack for blowing records--even dubious ones, so one might wonder whether they'll do that this year.

Them ever-lovin Polepuddies have taken one more giant step toward the all-time record by losing to the Indianapolis Colts 31-21.  We must admit, though, that they did make it interesting today.

Loss #15 is in the record book with the score being Saints 42, Polepuddies 7. Thus, those puddies have already entered the record book by being the firstr team ever to lose the  first 15 games of the season.  One more loss (next week), and they'll be the first totally winless team since 1976, and the first ever to go 0-16.

The Lions can take heart; they're moving in the right direction.  The last team to go winless in a season won the Super Bowl a mere 26 years later!!!

Actually, 0-16 is a done deal, since NOBODY beats Green Bay at Lambo field at this time of the year.  They don't call that place The Tundra for nothing...and only the fool-hardy would even want to play there at the end of December (especially this year).

Three cheers...or should it be three jeers...for those laughable, loveable Detroit Pollpuddies.  By losing to Green Bay today on the Tundra, those erstwhile Lions have kept their unblemished(?) season intact and closed it out 0-16.  No other team in football history has ever done that!
