Three teams rated in the top 10 going into this weekend have fallen, and two of them were defeaed by unranked teams.  Last Thursday South Carolina bested #4 Mississippi, 16-10.  Today #6 California was flat-out annihilated by Oregon, 42-3, and #9 Miami didn't fair much beter, being trounced 31-7 by #11 Virginia Tech.  In addition two other top-25 teams met their doom: South Florida upended #18 Florida State, 17-7,  and Georgia Tech dumped #22 North Carolina, 24-7.  Thus on this fourth weekend of college football one fifth of the top 25 "fell from grace."

...And as most people know by now, #5 Penn State can be added to the ranks of the fallen.
