No kidding.  You know, the only thing about sites like that for me is that whole \"emerging church\" seems to have its own dialect, etc.  Frankly, and this isn't just about them or meant as a slight of any kind, I get weary of having to learn a new dialect every time I discover a new website, blog, etc.

I couldn’t help but think of Skip’s posts on the protestant movement and the idea of church disconnected from its history. IF this is where the church is going then I may have to rethink my issue with the Orthodox.

Open Source Theology is prevalent in the Church of Linux.  They think Jesus is the Penguin, not the Lamb, Who was slain from the foundations of the world.

Suppose there were a physician who had such skill that people would not die, or even though they died would afterward live forever. Just think how the world would snow and rain money upon him! Because of the pressing crowd of rich men no one else could get near him. Now, here in Baptism there is brought free to every man's door just such a priceless medicine which swallows up death and saves the lives of all men.

Yes, and as we know, Open Source Theology is a rebellion against Windows Theology as advocated by the Church of Microsoft.

Pope Gates I and the Council of Redmond declared such to be heresy.

Narrow is the Gates that leads to life, and there are few who find it.  Broad is the technology that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

I posted a few comments on the \"Jesus is God... yes & no!\" but I think some of the members were blindsided with the unusual concentration of common sense in one post (I posted the Chalcedonian Definition of Faith concerning the Person of Christ, so I'm not being arrogant!); consequently no one was willing to deal seriously with the fact that they are questioning tenants that are central to the historical Christian Faith, and thus it will result in no form of Christianity if they are rejected, but modern-day Baal worship.  Go figure.

But in all seriousness, I'm not sure if this is the right attitude to have or what, but I gave up on the discussion.  It simply wasn't worth my time to discuss \"Is Jesus God?\" with people who claim to be Christians.  At that point, I am not discussing with Christians but with people outside the true faith who could be Christians.  Is that too harsh?

Clever,
If a \"Christian\" isn't sure that Jesus is God, then I'm pretty sure that such a person is not yet a Christian.[/color]

Hmm.  Thinking they're cutting edge and post-modern, they've revisited one of the oldest of heresies.

So, if such a question arises in one's mind, one should also conclude that such a one is not really in Christ?
