My wife is on the list to go eventually.  Many of her Methodist friends have gone and really enjoyed it.  I dont know anyone in our church that has attended, though one other lady is on the waiting list too.

One of my best friends, also a Methodist, is going in February and  I got a letter asking me to write a letter to him just 2 days ago.  He has tried to explain to me what its like, but from your perspective as a cofcer what was it like?  I'm considering inquiring about going as well.

A "Walk to Emmaus" is a spiritual renewal weekend that is just down right exciting!!  I went back in November, and I highly recommend it to any Christian man or woman.  They also have walks for the younger kids, teens.

The CofC'rs are usually the minority among the men/women on a "Walk".  But, that is not a bad thing.  As a member of the CofC, I was very hesitant to attend, even up to the minute that my wife drove away and left me there.   ???
But, the Lord works in ways that we don't understand or question, and I was so richly blessed during that 3 days, that it was beyond anything that I can explain.  A "Walk" is something that a person has to experience for themself.  There are no secrets involved in a "Walk".  However, there are some things that are better left to surprise than fore warning.  I can tell you that GOD is praised and Jesus is the focus of the whole weekend.  So, go get yourself involved in one and enjoy it, then come back here and tell me how much you loved the experience.

GOD Bless All Ya'll

I recently went on a "Walk to Emmaus"; a spiritual renewal weekend that was a turning point in my life as a Christian.  Generally, you don't see too many CofC folks on these walks, although there are a number from my congregation, Golf Course Road Church of Christ/Midland, TX, that have attended a walk.  I was wondering if there were members of the Grace Magazine community that have attended a walk, and if so, did you receive many blessings from God on the walk.

One of the things that I see as a possible deterant for CofC members is the fact that there are many different denominations represented on a walk.  To me, it was a wonderful weekend of fellowship and the Lord's blessings.
