Debbie its so good to hear from another person who God has blessed and restored so much after our apparent 'failures'of the past.
God Bless you.
God is a God who LOVES to give us back all that we have lost. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds and puts the lonely into families.

chosenone,

This is a quote you made the other day in the "Catholic Anglican Reunion thread":

(quote)
I now go to charismatic churches where God can actually do things that He wants to, and He heals, restores and delivers and he doesnt  have to try to fit in around mans rules and regulations and traditions. yes .Freedom at last!
(end of quote)

I am a Christmatic!  Since when do Christmatics drive around looking in the rear view mirror?

Debbie_55

How many husbands have you had?

who said anything about looking in the rear view mirror? I am living my life for God thanking Him for what he has done bringing me from the darkness into the light. How can that be looking back?, I have no desire to look back believe me.back then was horrible, now is good

chosenone,

Acts 19 says:

"11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them." (Acts 19:11-12)

Apostle Don Stewart will send you (free of charge) an anointed Green Prayer Handkerchier today.  You can put it under your pillow at night, or tuck it anywhere. God wants you to prosper, to be healthy, and help your family and relationships.  God wants to heal you everywhere you hurt. I want to help you that is why I am telling you about this miracle. The Prayer Cloth will be your point of contact.  Thousands of people around the World have used this Biblical point of contact prayer cloth to receive abundant blessings.

I know where you can get sequins from Binny Hinns Jackets!

My mother in law sent us a couple  prayer cloths once from Australia. Being that she is a home wrecker, who likes to break up other peoples marriages, we put them straight in the bin. I agree

Banished. ummm I havent got a clue what you are trying to say here. You have totally lost me.
Why would I need or want this man (who I have never heard of and know nothing about) to send me a cloth?
Dont follow you at all.Sorry I don't know, what do you think?

This morning I watched his program on WORD Television Network, and he said to call the number on the screen for a free anointed handkerchief.  When Don Stewart prays for us while on Television he puts the Green Holy Cloth over his hand, and points the palm of his hand towards the camera.  Seems more Penticostal than Christmatic to me?

Seems more weird to me. I still dont get why you think I would ever need a peice of cloth from a man I have never heard of. Maybe you could
tell me?God has managed perfectly well in bringing heaing in my life without a peice of cloth, mostly through my lovely husband.

chosenone-

I live in San Francisco and had a prayer cloth given to me at a Strore Front Church for the homeless many years ago.  Mine happens to be a woman's handky with lace, so I keep it out of sight. It's something that the older generation would like to have.  While watching Don Stewart I started to think about this "Divorce Thread" and how Satan has ruined people's marrages. They keep making the same mistakes over and over and over.  If only they had an anointed point of contact like a prayer cloth it might have saved them a lot of grief.  If you think that a piece of cloth and a Bible verse is a waste of time, well, go ahead and try it your way again.

Banished. My divorce is in the past. 10 years ago. I am now in a very very happy and blessed marriage to a man who adores me and who I adore. I really dont understand what you are trying to say by "well try it your way again" Try what my way? Everything I do is Gods way. I have the Bible verses in my Bible any time I want. I am not 'trying' anything, I am living life Gods way.I am following Him, I am going the way that He leads  No peice of cloth can improve on my life believe me. I am the happiest that I have even been in my 53 years here on earth, and the closest to God that I have ever been. Praise Him. What could a peice of cloth give me that I havent already got?
I am REALLY glad it helped you but my 'point of contact'is Jesus and he is the only 'point of contact' that I need.Using a peice of cloth in this way as being so important seems sort of superstitious to me,..

To be a Christian is to follow Christ. To follow Him we must love Him.  To love Him is to surrender our life to Him. To surrender our life to Him is to live a life that is His, and not ours.   This means that we do and think what He does and thinks. We know that God is always faithful to us although we have been unfaithful to Him, and rejected Him by our sins.  Furthermore, He sacrificed His own life so that we may be free of sin and have His life. To be a Christian, therefore, is to do likewise. In addition, since it is God who seals the marriage covenant no one can separate what God has joined together (Matt 19:6); and those who attempt to break this seal go against God. Divorce is therefore, absolutely prohibited for believers (Mk 10:11-12, Luke 16:18; Matthew 5: 31-32); and remarriage after divorce is adultery.  Furthermore, a person whose spouse is unfaithful to him/her must stay faithful to his/her spouse just as God is faithful to us even when we reject Him (Hosea 3:1).

God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and is not pleased with the offerings of those who divorce their spouse (Malachi 2: 13-14). Jesus tells us that before making offering to God, we must reconcile with those with whom we have grievances (Matt. 5: 23-24).  Therefore, a divorced person must first reconcile with his/her spouse before making an offering to the Lord.

I thought divorce was allowable even to the hardliners in the event of adultery. (i.e. Mat 5:32 and 19:9)

God's law re: MDR is already strict enough. Mt 19:9 does allow an innocent spouse to divorce a fornicating spouse, thus divorce is not absolutely prohibited.

The exception in the Greek text is porneia (which means incest or fornication). The exemption is, therefore, against marriages between close relatives, which were considered unlawful (Leviticus 18:6-18), because they were considered incestuous (porneia).  The exemption is also against common-law marriages (which are also unlawful marriages), in which couples fornicate by living together. Some people try to equate porneia with adultery.  However, in the second half of the 32nd verse in the above referenced Matthew’s gospel the Greek word for adultery is moiceia.

Debbie_55,

I visited your Web Page.  Is that your first husband Steve on your Homepage?  I couldn't find your Chruch?  What pastor has God placed over you?

Thank you banished for checking out my website. Steve is my now present husband and we have been married almost twelve years now and God is truly blessing our marriage. We do not have an actual church building anymore, but have opted for home Bible studies with our Pastor leading the discussions. We unincorporated the church a few years ago as the place we were renting was sold and we had to move out. People also were not giving in offerings and our Pastor was footing all the bills so we on the board of directors decided that was not right for him to do so we decided to fold the ministry and do home Bible studies in each others houses and it has been such a blessing from God to do so with our Pastor leading us.

WRONG. The word pornea means far more than just fornication and incest. It is also used in the Bible to mean such things as sex with a member of the same sex and other sexual sins. These would include adultery, bestiality, incest etc etc.
