When addressing time as it is known in our universe, there is no stretch in defining a past or the beginning. The rate of expansion and the cosmological constant point definitively to a finite moment. [Creation]
The blueprint or design is fine tuned to a degree that chance is relegated to the impossible. Take the force of gravity. If a ruler represented the possible range for the force of gravity and you extended it from one end of our known universe to the other, by moving the setting 1 inch, you would be unable to have sustainable life or conscious observers.[Humans] Just gravity and the cosmological constant alone make a compelling argument for design. There are at least 18 more parameters needed for human life.
We are rare if not unique, even for our universe.
You need some faith, but a detailed study of the Bible, [especially Isaih the mini Bible], and the laws governing us, can only logically lead to one conclusion. God created us and gave us a personal Savior Jesus Christ.

Oh, science and God are great pals. It's a shame that some Christians don't see the friendship thanks to the dirty work of some atheists. I need to study some of this more, but when the Big Bang theory was thoroughly studied to completion it pretty much showed that there is no hope of there not being a God.

The mass of the universe is but one issue: too much and the universe would be a bunch of black holes. Too little and it would only be a lot of floating gases. And the window in between for this universe to be the way it is, is so tiny that the odds of the Big Bang having the right universal mass are so overwhelmingly unlikely that it breaks well past scientist's criteria for "it will never happen in the history of the universe."

I am in need of being reminded of things that God has already taught me.

Trust me--I'm not like most people. 90% of the time, I'm straight-faced and it really isn't personal.
