I'm just curious how many attended Christian colleges. Some friends and I were talking about class sizes and what not and how helpful it was to be able to approach professors. When I was at Freed-Hardeman University, my professors knew me by name and were open for conversations about college or life in general. The same was true when I went to Trevecca Nazarene University.

I've heard that at public colleges professors usually have such large classes that they rarely remember a face, let alone a name and that it's nearly impossible to meet with them outside of class.

Some smaller public colleges, like Wake Forrest, pride themselves on small class size and professor accessibility. So anyway...the poll question awaits.

I Attended THE university of Texas, Texas Tech University. Lubbock's other college. Totally pagan btw. But we have been kicking some Texas A&M butts lately along with one notable victory against the Longhorns, and a total humiliation at the hands of the Sooners.

Trevecca eh?

That campus is in the armpit of Nashville. You have my sympathies.

I went to a small private Christian HS...not College.

There the teachers were available only during class.
College for me was done at two institutions as well. Culinary school the instructors were extremely aloof and not approachable (most at least)
Regular college the professors were usually always available outside of class. If for nothing more than drinks at a local watering hole...but also for scholastic needs as well...they truly enjoyed teaching the subjects that they taught.

A couple of college professors there had the "college mentality" but for the most part most of them didn't.

I went to a public university.  There aren't a whole lot of "Christian" colleges with engineering majors.

Eastern Washington University (certainly not Christian)--Actually yes professors quite often knew me by name. In fact they oftentimes made a noticeable effort to do so.

I am in need of being reminded of things that God has already taught me.

Trust me--I'm not like most people. 90% of the time, I'm straight-faced and it really isn't personal.

I've attended both secular and Christian colleges and am thankful for the education I received at both.
Christian colleges - Florida College, ORU, and Regent University.  Taught at Tidewater Bible College.

Atlanta Christian College.  It has grown tremendously, but back in my day had small classes, active dorm life, and a family feel.

One of my professors once stopped my girlfriend (wife now) on the sidewalk and told her she needed to persude me to turn my term paper in before I got a bad grade.  He knew she typed my papers and was genuinely concerned about me.

I'm guessing that sort of thing doesn't happen too much these days.
