HOW WE DO KNOW WE WILL REIGN WITH CHRIST ? (Author : dan p) In  2  Tim  3:11  reads , Faithful is  the  WORD  ,  for  since we  died together with  Him  , we will  also LIVE  together with  HIM .

 #1 For  2000  years ,  people have  been  saved  (  Rom 10:9  )  is the  people  I believe  that  Paul  is  talking  about .

 #2 If  we  be  DEAD  with  Him , it  has  happened when  the  HOLY  SPIRIT  ,  Places us  into  his  Death ,  Rom 6;3 .
 
#3 We  SHALL/ SYZAO  is in the  Greek  FUTURE  TENSE ,  ACTIVE VOICE  and  in the  INDICATIVE MOOD  which  means  it is a  FACT .

 #4 We  will  live Together with  HIM .

 #5   Rom  6:4  says , Therefore ,  we  were  BURIED TOGETHER with  Him  , through  this  BAPTISMA  which   only  can  be  done by  the  HOLY  SPIRIT /  BAPTISMA , and  this  verse  explains  1  Cor  15:29 !!

Dan, you are way off~I'll desire you for once to please explain what you truly believe these two scriptures are saying. Please go into detail, not just a one-liner.

I for one have never seen where we are baptized BY THE SPIRIT into the body of Christ, (in a regenerated sense)  I hear men like you say that we are, but cannot find proof of this in the scriptures.........NOWHERE.

 The  Greek   BAPTIZO  can  also  be  translated by  the  words PLACING , OR  PUTTING  something  into  something or using the  word  Identification in  1  Cor 10:2 .

 Verse 4 , Therefore we  were  BURIED together with  Him through this  BAPTISMA / THE  HOLY  SPIRIT the   One  BAPTISMA ,  Eph  4:5 called  the  ONE BAPTIZER .

And  verse  5  reads , For  since we  have  become united together in  the  LIKENESS of  His  Death , YET we  will  become  united  together in the  LIKENESS OF  hIS  death ,  yet we  will  be  also of  His  RESURRECTION .

The best of God's children have remnants of ignorance in them, some more, some less. You seem to be more. So, let me back up into your post which was made on  Tue Aug 09, 2022 - 15:41:17~you said:

Dan, your post are somewhat written using cipher writing. You just do not have the gift to put your words at least in a simple sentence, by not doing so, makes it very difficult for most to follow, even for an above-average student laboring to see exactly what you are attempting to communicate to your readers.  Let me try again.

Actually, Dan, 1st Corinthians 15:29 is explained by such scriptures as Romans 6:3-10~

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God."

These scriptures interprets 1st Corinthians 15:29.

"Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

Some at Corinth were denying a future bodily resurrection~which prompted Paul to ask them this question: If the dead are not raised, then "what shall they do" which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? When a person is baptized properly into Christ's death, they are confessing to all that they believe in a future bodily resurrection~a great question for Paul to ask those at Corinth who were rejecting a future resurrection. Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory and power of God, so shall all who have faith in his resurrection be raised up from the dead on that day!

Dan, your so-called Spirit baptism does not fit into Paul's argument/teaching in Romans 6. Romans six, the first ten verses are strictly dealing with water baptism also supported by 1st Corinthians 10 the analogy Paul used to the church at Corinth. There is NO Spirit baptism INTO Jesus Christ in the manner in which so many believe and teach.

Here is  the  proof .

Dan, you are ignorant of this subject.  You are listening to other voices instead of the word of God. Being ignorant is not being lost, or unregenerate, it simply means you still have a way to go to see more clearly. May God be merciful to you as you seek His truth.

The baptism mentioned in Romans 6 is done by human hands~where there is much water, at least enough to go down into the water and come up again a beautiful type of Christ's resurrection from the grave and our future bodily resurrection.

Reply #4 by dan p I  have   studied  the  words   BAPTIZO , BAPRTISTES ,  BAPTIZO , BAPTO ,  BAPTISMOS and many  Greek  words  have more  than  one  meaning .

  BAPTISMA  is  used  22  times  from  Matt---1  Peter some  24  times .

 Baptismos is translated   WASHING  in  Heb 9:10

BAPTIZO  , of  course , many  times .  and how  do  you translate 1  Cor 10:2 , where the  Israel ,  together were  BAPTIZED  unto  Moses , in the  CLOUDS , and  in  the  SEA .

 Looking  at  this   verse ,  Israel  walked  on  dry  land and crossed  the  RED  SEA  , which is  a  DRY  BAPTISM .

 The  one  who  followed Israel ,  the  Egyptians were  the  ones  who  were  WATER  BAPTIZED , or  Submerged or  were  IMMERSED .

 And  I  have 2  more verses that  give  the  same   story .

How do  you  see  1  Cor  10:1 and  2 ?
