Brother, I thought the same thing yesterday when I saw the two scriptures that he posted. Maybe I can help you because most likely he will not.

First, Romans 6:14 and Colossians 2:16 are scriptures addressing two totally different subjects and truly have "no" direct relationship to each other, other than in a mind of an untaught person (in many cases could even be a child of God) who is a babe in understanding and has taken the SWORD of his Father not yet trained on the proper use of that Sword of the LORD~ thereby, he could hurt himself and more than hurting others, being a young believer, we "all" have been there and done the very same thing.

Secondly, No, these folks just do not see their errors until they begin to grow and learn the word of God~later in their walk with God, reflecting back, they become very ashamed of the way they conducted themselves as a young believer.... some may just keep going deeper into error~spiritual life is much like life in the natural realm of things, some get it, some do not; some destined to success, some destined to failures and hardship; simply because they do not LISTENED to those who are older, wiser, and have gone through the same paths that they are now traveling.

Do you now see why (one among many reasons) God tells us that a novice should not be in a place of teaching and ruling?  When they quote such scriptures as Colossians 2:16 when speaking AGAINST Christians who may do things that they do not do and believes it is SIN to do so.

All false doctrines come from folks not being gifted to teach truth~TRUTH comes over years of learning, seeking, praying, and being filled with the Spirit of God which most young believers are not they like youths naturally are filled with themselves! Speaking from experience.  Selah

Thanks Red, well said.

Please do your own research concerning these holidays. There may be some false information or theories on this page I am not %100 sure at the moment, I need to do further research, but as far as I know, what is posted is the truth.

Sir, there will be many things that comes up in a child of God's life, that others will judge as sin because they have created a god in their own heart of what they think he approves of and disapproves of based upon what THEY WOULD DO in the same situation. These people do not live by every word of God but by the thoughts of their own depraved hearts, and if I may add, even God's children get caught in this snare of the devil at times! These things have I observed over my many years of serving God and even laboring among these proud professing Christians. Some recover, some do not. I recovered and very thankful to God for his longsuffering toward me in converting me from the errors of my ways in this area.

I said these things to say this: in your research make sure you are ONLY concern with the mind of God and not what some sect, pastor or even close friends tell you, learn to live by every word of God it is our only safe haven from errors and doctrines of men.

In closing consider what Elisha said to Naaman:
Quote
2nd King 5:15-19~"And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD. In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing. And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way."
In your research I trust that you could be an Elisha and tell another believer who is serving his master (employer) when his master tells him to do something that IS his job to do, yet knowing doing it he himself would NOT do it as a believer, you could tell that brother or sister GO IN PEACE! Bottom line, we must be extremely careful not to pass judgment of our brothers and sisters who may or may not do as we THINK they should do, or not do! We are NOT our brother's conscience that's a gift given by God to EACH individual and we all live in and under different circumstances and many times our own choosing. If we practice this one scripture we shall do well in the sight of God and man.
Quote from: Paul
1st Corinthians 16:14~"Let all your things be done with charity."
I rather err on the sides of practicing charity, than sitting in the seat of the scornful unmerciful judging other men's hearts.
