Many times I've heard Churches talk about Laodicea and complacency, but I've heard little talk about Sardis. Here is a group of people, perhaps large, perhaps small ( size not being the issue), gathered together as a church, carrying a good reputation among men for good works.

O.K. question about Sardis: How did this train get off the tracks? How was this group able to fool men and not God?

Revelations 3:1ff" I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Walk up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die; for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember , therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent.. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you."
