Who will appear before the Judgment seat of Christ ?
« on: Tue Aug 02, 2022 - 14:56:42 »
The  Judgment  Seat of  Christ , appears in  Rom  14:10 .

In  1  Cor 3:10  and  ONLY  Paul  laid  this  foundation and no  one  else !

So  care  must used  when  building  , on the  FOUNDATION   that  Paul  laid down .

In  verse 12  ,  If  anyone  builds GOLD , SLIVER , COSTLY  STONES ,

and one Builds on this  foundation WOOD , GRASS or  STRAW ,  the  work of  each  will  BECOME  VISIBLE  ,  for  that  DAY   of  Judgment  will  make  it  PLAIN because it is  being  revealed by  FIRE ans the  fire will  test the  WORK OF  EACH one ,  of what  sort  it  is .

If the  work  of  anyone which  he built up  remains ,  he  wil  receive a  REWARD ,and  verse  15  says  , that if  the   FIRE  consumes  , he  will  suffer LOSS   , but he  himself will  be  SAVED ,  yet  so  if  by  FIRE ,

THIS  Judgment , I  believe is  ONLY  TO SAVED BY  GRACE and  are  in  the  Body  of  Christ .

And there ae  yet  2  more  JUDGMENTS to  go !!

.
Rom 14:10-12 . . We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: As I live, says The Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

That, in my opinion, is very strong incentive to be careful with one's choice of words lest the hapless day arrive when we are forced to eat them.

Matt 12:36-37 . . I say to you, that every thoughtless word that men shall speak, they shall render account for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

M The  word   JUDGMENT  is the  Greek  word  BEMA  , and  means and  INSPECTION  SEAT .

And all  believer and  saved  by  GRACE  will  be  the  only  ones  to  appear here at  all .

.
There is a bit of difference between the bema of 1Cor 5:10 and the thronos of Rev 20:11. The one is related to the chairs occupied by judges assigned to preside over athletic events; whereas the other is related to the bench occupied by judges assigned to criminal cases.

The important thing to note is that folks who stand before the bema will walk away unharmed regardless of their complete failure to qualify for an award, whereas folks who stand before the throna won't walk away at all because they won't be there for the determination of awards. The event described at Rev 20:11-15 is entirely punitive where folks are put to death by a mode of termination akin to a foundry worker falling into a kettle of molten iron.

You are  right that the  BEMA  is the  Judgment  Seat  where  believers will go through  the  fire , but will  be  saved , as written  in  1  Cor 3:15  ,  BUT  all   good  works will go through the  FIRE  to be  tested  , and  only  good  works  will  survive .

THRONE / THRONOS is  in  the  ACCUSATIVE  CASE  and  SIGNULAR .

The  ACCUSATIVE  means that THRONE  is  LIMITED  to the Great  WHITE  THRONE  and is  LIMITED  to  only  one    THRONE as it is in the  SINGULAR .
