if Christ said, pray to the 'Father in Heaven'...

why are we still praying to God in the churches?

is his way just a specific instance, or is this a pattern from that point on?


please dont say, the father in heaven  is God...i know that..

just seem there should be a proper pattern now for us?

and if you're always praying to the father, then good for you!


*also if there are instances where people specifically prayed to God acts forward,
then did they know the whole truth like we who study the gospels do?
in other words the progressive church knows better

Mt 6:8: Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.


Mt 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
