« on: Wed May 23, 2012 - 05:28:25 »
Hi Guys.....

I am Steve and I hope you people would be concerned about losing weight because the ratio of overweight is increasing day by day . Diet do nothing if you have not got exercise which is the main factor in reducing weight . So Cardio exercises are the best in my view .

It is possible to lose weight with diet alone, however, exercise burns calories and spikes your metabolism, which also burns calories and should be your main calorie burning furnace.  Losing weight and/or adding muscle is roughly 30% exercise and 70% diet and rest.  In other words, diet > exercise.

Also, resistance training/weight lifting for 60 minutes has been proven to burn more calories than 60 minutes of running at a 7 minute mile pace.  Resistance training/weight lifting adds lean muscle, which burns fat.  It's almost like turning the fat into muscle.  Hope this helped!

Eating will almost always trump exercise, i.e., you can always put on more weight by eating than you can take off by exercise .  If you don't believe that, take a look at the offensive line of every NFL team.  That of course is not to say that exercise is not good - we all know that it is.

Cardio exercises are really very good if you want to be healthy. But if you are fat and unable to do cardio exercises which is mostly the case than losing weight with cardio is not really the option for you. You have to look for other options. [LINK REMOVED]

I am 100% agree with the statement of"It is possible to lose weight with diet alone, however, exercise burns calories and spikes your metabolism, which also burns calories and should be your main calorie burning furnace.  Losing weight and/or adding muscle is roughly 30% exercise and 70% diet and rest.  In other words, diet > exercise.  ". Because this is the best option to solve this issue.
