Weight of young children ?
« on: Fri Feb 16, 2018 - 12:14:33 »

How  do my grand children stay so very thin ??????

They eat  like a  person that would weight over  200 lbs.......

Since there are 11 of us in this  family.........  8 children

We  use  paper dishes a lot of the time, so as to give you an idea ,  the dish is  full all around  and up high!

and they eat it before I am even half done and they go back for seconds  and  a plat full again.......

And they are all thin...........   How is this possible ?????

We do live  on a farm,  but  there is not to much work for them in the winter.......  they feed and water
the animals   twice a day.....
And they do go  do sports..........But still   how  are they not over weight  ?
any ideas ?
Thanks..........   ???    ??? ::shrug::

I've been eating like that all my life, some of us just have a faster metabolic rate I suppose. Not even sure if that is still the correct answer, it was the thing I was always told growing up; "you must have very high metabolism".

Kids are growing all the time and more active than adults.

I won't lie, it has been catching up with me the last decade or so.

Overall good info, but like ALL articles, one must be able to THINK for ourself and compare other's thoughts as well.

"Over hundreds of millennia, we evolved in an environment where we had to confront frequent periods of undernutrition," Columbia's Rosenbaum said." ::pondering:: That's his PERSONAL opinion, not biblical for sure~ Also, if anything, our society has bad eating habits and WHAT we eat~all of the PROCESS food, drugs injected, etc. leaves MOST youth overweight in comparison to my generation where one would VERY seldom find an overweight youth and NOT Many adults! NOT SO today, where it is SO common.
