About 70ish this afternoon with high chance of thunderstorms, the rest of the weekend looks nice though, sunny and mid 70's. Long weekend here also. ::smile::
Yeah, Alan.
We are about 70ish but terrible rains.
If what blew theough here last might ends up in the NE, look out.
Well, we had 4 more confirmed tornados in the area last night.
Again, found out this AM ::doh::
103 today in Midland Tx
82 here on a blessed Lord's Day.
14 tornados in this hilly area so far. We normally... according to the news... only have 4 ::doh::
Meteorological Tribulation?

The Pittsburgh Zoo was hit last Friday. No animals were injured or fish... but then again, they dont vote
Ping pong size hail the other day. I need to call a roofing company and have them do an inspection. Anything over an inch in diameter usually means a new roof.
I remember the good ol' days when we would get rain without hail. ::intherain::

Sheesh...
This week I received an email from our homeowners insurance reminding people they normally do not cover floods OR earthquake damage. (Floods I am aware of)
I need to call to see about tornado for our area but I now wonder about hail damage? That could affect windows and aven roofs.
I recently added an earthquake rider in my home insurance for $25 per year extra since we have had some 4.0 to 5.0 quakes in the area.
I got a pretty severe hail storm a couple of nights ago with golf ball sized hail. Probably be getting my third roof in less than 10 years. If there is a storm coming capable of rain here, it typically has a hail component in the last several years. I think the Democrats stole Bush's weather manipulation machine!
I'm beginning to long for the tranquility of 110 degree sunny days in Mid June through August in West Texas.
Pretty nice here.
73f, cloudy with intermittent showers. I want to say that fall is gently rolling in, but I'm not quite convinced yet.
There's a dark front moving in tonight but should be gone by morning. We're in for some rain, too.
::prayinghard:: Lord God... PLEASE.... bring back global warming.
We're supposed to be at 84 for a high on Friday in Lubbock,Tx.

We are awaiting an ice storm arriving tonight into tomorrow when we will have a day time high of 57f.
::prayinghard:: Maranatha. Amen, Amen

Calling for snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, all in the same 24 hour span.
IDK. They say one thing and it never happens.
Snow and ice all around us is certain.
We are to get a lot of rain Saturday into Sunday then temps
plummet and ice?????
Been a crazy year. And way too cold
High of 61 today, West wind speed of 53 moh, gusts up to 90 and a bunch of airborne dust. Look out everyone to the North and East. This one is a real booger! I haven't seen a dust storm this bad since I was in High School.
We are currently having a dust storm worse than the previous one above. This one is a real stem winder. I pray for the people in the path of this system as it moves further East. Lots of energy in this one!
The other day we had gusts up to 80 and practically no visibility. Some power outages, and some wildfires. My grandson's Marine brother had his truck and his family's home completely destroyed by one of the fires just west of Tulsa.
Today, gusts up to 40 and some dust and wildfires.
We need some rain! So dry and so much dust and dirt. My fluffy white dog comes back in the house looking beige - I kid you not. Just running through the grass to find a potty place kicks up all the dust so she's like Pigpen on a Peanuts cartoon. Once this wind dies down, I'm watering the grass to try to wash this off some.
It's 57 here, I'm cold and not looking forward to another winter.
I'm ready for some bonafide Autumn weather. We are in the mid to upper 80s for highs and upper 50s to mid 60's for lows. Typically we get our first taste of real Autumn around Halloween. The cotton fields here in Lubbock are typically white for harvest around Thanksgiving or soon thereafter. We should be receiving our Canada geese flyins pretty soon.
Morning it was 38 f. Now we up to 57f but sunny
We're getting the fallout of a hurricane, which is exceptionally rare for Arizona. We're supposed to get 4" of rain this weekend. For context, 4" is about the total annual rainfall here in the desert.
There will be flooding. Our flood control systems aren't designed for that much water that fast.
I live north of Fort Worth now and the weather is different from NE Oklahoma. The storms even sound different down here - like rolling and lots of echos. The temp is 80 right now and I'm longing for highs in the 60s and 70s.
Okay, you do live in Texas. Temperature is heading lower which we all are happy to see that to be so. But, truly we have almost no winter, except during Jan/Feb and then it is over.

I am quite happy with the summer temperatures here in Prescott.

Yes! A little podunk town but I love it here. Down the road from my daughter and her family. She had her second baby, a precious baby boy, six weeks ago, so I've been busy helping over there. Plus, busy at the house. The man next door is a trim carpenter for fancy homes in Dallas, and he's been putting in all kinds of gorgeous woodwork for me with the leftovers from a couple of his jobs. He's not charging for all the woodwork - just the labor. So nice of him! So far, he's wrapped the kitchen island and used the same gorgeous wood and trim to finish out the dining area. The neighbors are all very friendly here. Lots of homeschool families in the neighborhood, which I love. Oh! My little sister and her hubby are moving here! They just bought a home about 6 miles from here! So happy about it!
How are you and yours doing in your new home, RB? Hope all is well!
