I've heard a certain statistic about the ratio of male to female Christian authors, but somehow, I'm not finding anything online and would love to have a source.
What I've heard is that a huge majority of authors are women, something like 70% to 80%.
The easiest way that I've seen this trend is just with online blogging and YouTube, with a very similar story over and over again where a husband is working 60+ hours a week, but the wife has time on her hands to invest in a ministry (usually aimed primarily at women, of course) with or without a financial return.
One other similar occurrence is just the commonplace greater investment in women's ministries at churches, and it's the same kind of thing: husbands who spend far too much time working to be able to be as active as their wives.
Anyway, I'd like to get some hard stats. Of course, my impressions are falsifiable (although I'm not the only one who observes this trend, to my knowledge). But, it's helpful information to address gynocentrism in Christian society and culture.
