Rella, perhaps you can find this out for me...I briefly caught sight of a portion of a video where a trucker attempting to deliver rescue supplies to Hurrican Helene affected areas reported that the tires of these rescue trucks which drop into rest stops are having their tires slashed so that they can't proceed with their delivery. I don't know where this video originated from, but can you perhaps find something related to this in your digging around to either confirm or deny this story?

My roots go back to theses mountains on My father's mother side, and even my mother's side.
So sad to see these pictures knowing I have been there a few times~and may never be able to go back, even though I'm going very close to them this coming weekend, but will not be able to get near Chimney Rock since there is no way into there, besides even if it was, they would not allow any one to come in even to help.
It has been about four years since I went through there, one of the most beautiful places one will ever see during the fall of the year, which I was thinking about going this year to see my sister who lives off of the Parkway on the other side outside of Hillsville, Virginia.
