But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
Just wanted to share a little about how Christians & their sacrifices kept believers safe & how they became defenders of
light.
Because what they gave ...their joy, peace & their lives for the sake of others is not only worth remembering but deserves reverence.
Our Christians whether religious Priests or Knights had character,
they stood like a wall in front of the weak,
that character showed the presence of Christ,
they were noble, brave, they believed in sacrificing for the sake of the Christian faith & people
& through their sacrifice, kept the promise of being true to the Christian faith.
The Promise of a Christian
What is the promise of a Christian?
The greatest promise is to be faithful to Christ.
The Word of God teaches us Christians to be faithful.
Faithful To God.
Faithful to Christ,
Faithful to the Holy Spirit,
Faithful to our Christians & Jews,
Amen.
But this promise is not a hollow box, with nothing inside.
This promise demands the surrender to Christ.
A surrender of the soul,
a surrender to God, even when faced with hardships,
a surrender to God, even when a person is defeated by Satan again & again,
& yet keeps rising,
or even though a believer may appear broken, yet still keeps the faith,
but this brokenness is part of the life of a Christian,
shall defeat, brokenness, hardships or persecution separate us from the love of Christ?
Romans 8:35-39
King James Version
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or no clothes, or peril, or sword?
It is important to decide, what is more important ...surrendering to Christ & continuing to keep the faith or the shallow comfort of Satan?
What is a life without hardship?
Can a person boast of being brave in the softness & comfort of abundance?
True strength is the not the absence of complete fear or suffering,
but walking alongside it, in the strength of Christ.
What is peace?
People find peace in the absence of chaos.
But is that true peace or peace because of the absence that causes chaos.
True peace is found in Christ.
The peace that Christ gives is even in the presence of chaos.
And life never promised comfort, instead it promised tears, persecution, hardships, death, destruction & continuous harassment for the Christians.
Christianity is a religion which is not for the weak of heart but for those who are ready to pick up the Cross & defend it.
And the past eras have always shown to the present era
what the sacrifice of a Christian meant.
It does not matter what the denomination was,
what mattered was that they were Christians & died as one.
That was their promise ....a promise that they would live as true Christians facing hardships & yet keeping the name of Christ in their hearts.
Some were called Saints, some as respected Priests, Knights & Kings
& many whose names were never recorded yet Heaven recorded their names along with the others.
Whether a Chosen servant whose name was taken in reverence or the multitude whose names were never known,
but they gave their everything ....their comfort, peace & joy & even their life for the freedom & joy of the present today, in this era.
This was their sacrifice & promise to Christ, that they would keep Him in their hearts.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
John 15:13
There were times when the respect of the Christian people was threatened, our faith included,
our Churches,
the very existence of our Christian people was threatened
& yet the brave Christians weathered the storms of conflict,
to give Christians their freedom & their ''TODAY''
They who fought knew they would die, &
did feel it,
but nevertheless, they went ahead with their mortal emotions & fought.
They came together from all denominations ...came together & defeated those accomplices of Satan, who stood against our Christian culture,
our Churches,
our people,
our faith.
They gave their everything & that was their promise to live by the faith.
And it should be remembered & respected.
They just did not live with empty words but their actions proved the mettle in their souls.
They united against the darkness of Satan & they marched together as defenders of the light & didn't remain with the shallow comfort which life provides.
To live an earthly life is easy but what is truly immortal is to live by the soul,
Amen.
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
Matthew 16:26
But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29
