List your favorite TV Shows currently in production!  We'll start another thread for old "classics"..

Mine, in no particular order:

CSI Miami
American Idol
Antiques Roadshow
24
King of the Hill

OD

Also in no particular order:

Lost
Alias (sadly coming to an end soon)
The Amazing Race

We really watch only those three with any consistancy, but sometimes we also enjoy:

CSI (the original, not the NY or Miami versions)
History Detectives (airs in the Summer on PBS)

I know you said to list only those favorites in current production, but if my hubby and I had to pick our all-time fave TV show it would be Seinfeld, all the way -- we can't wait to own them all on DVD (we already have through season five) though Heaven knows we have them memorized and need not really watch them anymore to glean enjoyment.

Just, That is why I use my WinTV PVR with Windows Media Center.  Make my own DVD's, watch the shows when I wanna.

Lot cheaper than them Mac's.   :D

WinTV is a company.  PVR is a tv card with recording software.

So I have a 160 gig "tivo," only I have freeware for editing out commercials and dvd authoring software for making my own menus and what not.

Ah, you shouldn't have to apologize for the quality of your Wintel box.  I'm sure it gets the job done OK. :;):

You have to buy the TV card.  No fee after that.  What is it that you do with your Mac that is your own work?  Audio?

Lately I've kind of liked TLC's Flip It.  For one, it makes the ridiculous NY real estate prices look like absolute bargains.  And too, it's just cool to watch someone take a delapidated home (which may still have cost over $300,000 in CA) and completely refurbish or restore it.

It was nice seeing West Wing again, last night.

The best scene was after the President took the two candidates privately into his office, and had told them of his planned unilateral intervention, into a former Soviet Republic to prevent the takeover by Russia or China, who were amassing troops on its borders.  This commitment was going to be unpopular, both internationally and domestically,  long term, and very expensive, but one that he felt morally compelled to take.

When he left the room, the two combatants seemed to have comprehended, perhaps for the first time, not only what horrible situation they might inherit, but what onerous decisions they might  have to make.

These mini-Civics lessons will be sorely missed...

No!  My eyes!  I've tivoed it and not seen it yet! ;D

I'm going to miss West Wing, too.

I gotta move my iMac or my DVR so I can easily dump shows off the dvr and make DVD's.

Of course it might help if just kept some blank DVD's in stock. I've got to dub the West Wing over for my friend who forgot to record it and then have some DVD's to do for my wife's family of some old family movies that were transferred to VHS.
