I don't see how things like that can be stopped. In my opinion, best thing to do is pray (natch), and past that, ignore it. Sometimes I think boycotts, protests, etc., just backfire and bring more attention to such things than anything else. JMO, of course! I've seen that site before, it's been a while. I found it same way you did. Guy looks a lot like a long-haired Eric Stoltz (sp?) to me. (Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that.) I may not like what he's doing, but free speech doesn't mean anything except what offends me. The site's really lame, but it's not violating any laws of the U.S. as far as I know. Anyway, the real Jesus Christ reigns, and  there are plenty of good truly Christian sites online that bring glory to our Lord. (Like this one right here.) Let's support and emphasize (sp? I can't spell today) those.

WHOIS info (I looked it up at samspade.org) lists the owner as Second Coming Multimedia Productions ... but apparently that's who's owned it in the past. Could be it's just not showing updated info.

I found this article online:

look at the site and see what you think...

do Christians have a responsibility to try and do something about such things... if so what?

Greetings.

Regarding jesus.com, it looks like someone has already done something about it...

[!--QuoteBegin--][/span]

Quote

[!--QuoteEBegin--]Taken from jesus.com, 01/10/03:

Jesus Is Moving On

For various reasons, jesus.com will cease to exist as it has in the past. While I have met many excellent people through this website, some of whom are destined to be lifelong friends and companions, this URL will soon cease its previous use.

The website you have come to know and love is being moved to datejesus.com and will continue to be updated periodically, but jesus.com will soon have entirely different management and content.

My thanks and appreciation go out to all who have supported this effort.
My guess is that someone gave him an offer he just couldn't refuse...

interesting article barb, thanks

it's true that when Christians make a stand against something it's almost always poorly presented in the media to make us "the bad guy"...

but it also says to the world and other Christians that we still believe such things are unacceptable, no matter how PC or free speech oriented the nations may be...

standing for what we believe, and against that which God is hurt by is important; not to the point of death threats or losing our Christianity, but trying to lovingly redirect those who publically endanger their souls, and others
