the reliability and accuracy of the Bible:
here is a list of discoveries and other evidence that supports the Biblical record and i willannotate them for now but they canbe discussed in detail in other posts. i will also leave out the james ossuary as its controversy doesn't lend well to a credible list. there is no particular order:

7. rolling stone tombs
8. the gallilee boat
9. caesarea philippi
10. ceasarea on the sea
11. the 10 cities of the decapolis
Old Test.:
1. the most recent--the name of goliath on a potshard

also k.a. kitchen proved that the price joseph's brothers got for him as recorded in the Bible was accurate and was the going price at that time for selling someone into slavery.
what this does is show that the biblical record was writtenlong before some scholars prefer or actually state and shows that the writers of the Bible were accurate when they wrote God's words.
thanks for the info----good stuff----and right on! ::clappingoverhead::
i have more if you want but one thing that is of interest is the sumerian kings list. if you have done any study on it, you will notice that their pre-flood kings numerically match up with the biblical names mentioned in genesis.
also, from k.a. kitchen, we have extra-biblical proof for noah's flood. it was so real and so much on the minds of the sumerians that they inserted it in the middle of their list. no one does that if the event did not take place or was believed to have been a myth.
forget the notionthat the hebrews copied it from other civilizations, that idea comes fromthose who do not believe the Bible and think that the oldest discovered is the original work, which isn't true.
