: The Incredible Hulk

Anyone see this yet on early release? Is it kid friendly?

Not yet. And I have mixed feelings about seeing it at all, based on the fact that the movie industry wants everyone to just pretend that there was not another version of this movie just a few years ago. A remake was probably in order, but not this soon.

Marvel is now making their movies themselves, as evidenced by IRON MAN.  I will probably watch it, when it comes on DVD.

Oh no...the 2003 epic was about the Hulk.  This one is about the Incredible Hulk, which is completely different.

Unfortunately, many will not see the distinction... ::wink::

c'mon, it's not like the comic books would ever ignore history or start over because something doesn't work.

Saw it,

Pretty good (4 stars). If you are taking young kids cover their eyes during the opening credits (Flashback and you see a man and a woman on the ground bleeding) and the hotel scene (They are about to "Know" each other and Bruce Banner's heart rate elevates and he has to stop or become the Hulk)

The fight scene that we build to could have been better it is over to quickly. But Tony Stark's appearance in the end of the movie is a great part!

Saw IH last night. It was okay. Lots of fighting. I didn't really think the story was all that strong. I liked the Hulk movie that came out a few years ago anyway. I don't know why Elektra, Daredevil, Punisher, and the Fantastic Four movies all got such bad reviews. They were pretty good.

The best part of the IH was the special scene at the end of the movie that hints at things to come. I won't spoil it...don't waste your time staying through the credits like IRON MAN. They give you the special ending before the credits roll.

I read about that somewhere on the web... I believe they're talking 2010, or 2011?

I hate the fact that they are doing an Ant Man movie. Hank Prym was known as being Giant Man, not Ant Man. If they go the ant man angle what are they going to do with Wasp?

I am looking forward to Captain America...

But I like IH much, much, much, much better than Hulk. It's no contest. I couldn't watch Hulk - the goofy comic strip filming gave me a serious headache.

You might take older kids to see it, but if it was me, I wouldn't take anyone younger than 10 or 11. We might let DS watch it at home under supervision, since he's rather "into" superheroes right now, b/c a movie like that is much less scary on a small TV than an enormous screen, imho.

I seen The Incredible Hulk a month ago on cable for the first time.  Entertaining, but I'm spoiled by the classic series of The Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.
I must of seen all of them as a kid young teen. The Incredible Hulk is a bit too incredible for me.
