I'm getting married next year - wanted to take this step. Plus, after discusions with my pastor, I came to the conclusion that long (or longish) hair was not for men. Struggled with it for a while, but am glad I did it.
In my own humble opinion, you look much better. ::smile::
Congrats on your engagement!
In Christ,
KP
Whatever you want to do is fine by me.
Haha! ::noworries::
Oh, please vote - for my girl's benefit!
As long as you're smiling I think you look cute either way. Maybe just a little bit longer for my taste -give a woman something to mess up, ya know?
:) Elaine
And I voted.
Before - Kind of goofy
After - Respectable
Your mother and wife-to-be should be pleased with you (after the wedding you don't have to pay attention to either one of them).
Thanks - well, I looked on the haircut as a bit of a milestone. Took some guts, and so decided on very, very short. Couldn't believe how different I looked in the mirror - and how cold it was when I went back outside!
Something I wanted to do, not just for future marriage, but as I believe it's biblical anyway.
Short hair is a lot easier to take care of.
It looks better,
but I don't think that you can say it's biblical...what is with John? And Samson (was it, right!?) they had looong hair ;-)
But, it really looks better...
what does your girlfriend think of? Thats more important I think ;-)
Well, my girl is fine with it now. Didn't recognise me at first though - all she saw was a pair of ears and a big cheesy grin!

To say it looks better is simply personal opinion.
Didn't Samson have a few problems related to his haircut?

yeah because the one woman cut it...and so he lost strength...
but it was only one example guys ^^
There is a scripture in Ephesians, I think, that says that men should not have long hair. That it is shameful. It's definitely there.

Yes, you are right...
I am only wondering, that if it would be shameful why for example John had long hairs? Maybe you can't say everybody? But then the question is, who can and who is not allowed? And if its not only kind of religion, only to have a rule more...like woman are only allowed to wear skirts...
I think that it doesn't matter for Jesus, if you have long hair or not....and your hair wasn't long...
Samson though was told that His hair was never to be cut. But anyway I think a man (like me...lol) looks more like a man with a buzz cut...lol. That is what I do.
Nice cut ..you look fresh out the box!

Compared to my daughter's boyfriend, you still have very long hair.
Hello again, all.
Well...there was actually another reason for the barbers, which I didn't share at the time, in case things didn't happen. But now they have!
