I didn't realize there was a movie.  I just checked on IMDB, and apparently it was a Star Wars fan-produced thingy with someone named Damian Rice who is likely not related to the excellent singer Damien Rice.

This thread was the product of something very different.

Yesterday in class, I had students imagine they were spending their first night in a concentration camp (we're studying Elie Wiesel's "Night") and write a paragraph telling what thoughts were running through their heads as they tried to get to sleep.  I then had them copy their paragraph, go to Wordle.net (http://wordle.net) and create one of these "word clouds" using what they had written.  Last night, as I sat in the classroom waiting for parents who didn't show, I cut these wordles out and made collages to put on the walls.

One of these had the words darkredemption run together in a prominent place, and it struck me, so I pasted it here to see if I would get any reactions.

That's all.

OK, you were an English major in school. Run with it and write a novel titled; Dark Redemption. You never know, it might be a best seller. :)

Oh my gosh... I thought that you were being silly.... I never heard of it.  I was being silly back at you.

I actually thought perhaps someone had used that term in "discussion" here and you were getting that out of your system.   ::doh::

Interesting thought.  I have a manuscript that I've been trying out new names for.  It was originally titled Headcase, but I don't like that for several reasons and had been calling it Fall Together. Dark Redemption actually makes a certain amount of sense.

I don't know, though.  Using "redemption" in the title reinforces a horror cliche I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to transcend.

Yes, when I read the words "Dark Redemption," horror and evil are the first words that pop into my head.
