Gah! I am so frustrated LOL!! And, I feel like a real jerk because I have some really awesome things going on in my life, things that I am so grateful for, and this is bugging me so dang much.
I posted a while back about the guy who has developed a crush on me who I most definitely do not feel the same way in. Okay, most guys, this crap had been going on (staring, following, etc) I would have told to go take a flying leap. But I can't because A) the guy has had a brain tumor and has medical issues (then I am the meannnnnn one) and B) I really, really adore his parents.
I have to see this guy three times a dang week, Sunday and two Bible studies. Here's the real corker, the Monday night Bible study is now at MY HOUSE because my roommie is the group leader. So, he lingers.....he stays.....he talks forever....... I actually leave and go in my room like now. You bet he's sitting out there yammering on right now as I type. Today we had a group dinner (fun except Trying Anything To Catch My Eye McGee staring across the table), I got up and went to other rooms to get away and he follows...everywhere I go...here he comes. GAH!!!
Okay, time is up. I am going to have to say something or things are going to get ugly. Prayers please and anyone have a few nice ways to say "Stop staring at me you dolt" and "Go fall into a river and stop traipsing after me, Tagalong Bob!".
Everyone has been gone almost an hour....I feel trapped! ::frustrated::

Do it. Infatuation blinds some people and they don't take hints very well. They run all sorts of scenarios through their minds. Straight up tell him that you don't see him that way and maybe that you are interested in someone else.
I think tomorrow at Bible study I am going to say "yes?" every time he starts his staring act. I am also going to ask why he is following me around in public.
I hate to embarrass but my patience has left, what little of it there is.
Tell him you are seeing somebody...as in you have a boyfriend...his name is JohnDB and he has blonde hair, blue eyes, dimples, and is about 5'10" tall and is a very jealous construction worker...
I'll tell my girl friend something in the meantime...
NO?
well...pray for perseverence through longsuffering...which is one of the fruits of the Spirit...
I have my Spiritual gifts...sarcasm and whining. ::saint::
Oh yes . . . here I am at 63 years old. I got hooked on a lady in our church, and then found out she has a guy.
Well, I still can get out of this > I'm maybe more spiritual than he is, so she is going to be really interested in me-me-me ::frown:: if I keep on praying to be her spiritual example so I am irresistible to a Christian woman like her lolololololololol
Or she wants me to show her I mean business by "pursuing" her rofl > I'm supposed to be persistent ::doh::
to show I'm capable of ::clappingoverhead:: *c*o*m*m*i*t*m*e*n*t* ::clappingoverhead::
And she doesn't answer my calls or phone me back > again, this means she's testing me to see if I really am interested in her . . . mm-hmmm . . . while she is going out with her guy ::smile::
So, as you can see, I the infatuated (or is that, inflated-with-flatulance ??? of thinking I am so superior that she would want me ??? ) one can find ways to get around whatever she does or says. Actually, it has come to me, that if she is a really spiritual and loving lady, so I could think she belongs with someone spiritual like me . . . no man is better than anyone else > God loves every one of us, by giving His own Son Jesus to each of us; so it doesn't matter how I am in comparison to him, because God is good if He pleases to love him by giving her to him ::smile::
Yes, I can be so stupid.
But then she told me she thinks "the world of me". But I knew that might be a "hand-out" approval thing, to pay me off to leave her alone. She does the hand-out of attention thing, then disappears. This can be very effective, so I can see that at best she is just "teasing", then give me orders like I'm her little boy . . . can be effective.
And to say I mean "the world" ??? > considering what I think of Satan's *world* . . . that was enough to turn me off, pretty well. After all . . . any Christian sister, for me, means more than a billion universes of gold and silver lololololol. Really ladies . . . just a minute of sharing with you does me more good, in God's love, than all the gold and silver of a billion universes could, plus all the worldly women of all eternity could not do for me this good you do me, even if they perfectly cooperated with me for the rest of eternity: one minute with you does me better ! ! ! ::smile:: And yet, I can still get played for a fool by charm and looks ::frustrated::
But . . . telling *him* that he means "the world" to you "might" not work lololololololololololololol
I would say, then, each of us is unique; so pray and trust God and enjoy finding out how this works out.
By the way . . . as I have offered, before . . . if you use bait that attracts a sucker for you-know-what, the bait you use can be what chooses the fish you catch. I have seen how a number of ladies seem to be trying to catch the eye of suckers > "rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4) But God is no respecter of persons; His love does not have us attracted by what is outward, then, I would say. God's love attracts heart-to-heart, not just with what's below the belt.
JohnDB my brother,
Hey man, back off.
I saw her first. I really think fassopony likes me. She has already ignored me
twice as much as you.
LOL!!! Seriously, thanks for the advice guys. I appreciate it. I went to Bible study late today as I had a bunch of things to do so next opportunity to solve the issue is Sunday.
Uh, Comfy? Did you get run through the ringer by some gal?
We all have our crosses to bear...
My GF is a writer...ex English teacher in Middle School...
There was a convention of sorts of writers here in Nashville for a contest starting next month for novelists.
It was a scene right out of the movie "Throw Mamma From the Train".
There was a black woman who was a porno writer at our table who hogged most of the conversation there. ::doh:: (about how to get published...not content...and I wasn't going to ask cause of the looks she kept giving me)
I didn't want to go to start with but I am susceptible to bribery,,,and the place has some great micro brewed beer.
Help me I am weak. ::cryingtears::
LOL!! I have no problem being blunt usually but the being friends with this guys parents, etc, thing is cramping my style.
You can drag me along next time, I will say fun and interesting things like "I don't wanna hear about your porno, chickie" and "Oh can it, the pie hole needs to shut" LOL!!
I can relate. It is difficult to get the point across when someone is infatuated.
I had a married Christian woman who stopped by my house every day to say "hi" while I was outside in my yard with my cats. When it got to the point where she just hung around for the entire two hours I spent exercising my cats every day I attempted "hinting". That didn't work so I became direct and said that I didn't want to talk to her every day for two hours. She ignored that so I said that I didn't want any contact with her. She went home and told her husband how "mean" I was and they both started walking their dogs pass my house 8-16 times a day EVERY DAY and this has been going on for over a year and a half.
You have to be firm and stand your ground but be prepared because some infatuated people just don't get it and won't ever get it!

::smile:: lolololol
Well, Fasso Pony, I have been one to step up to wringers, I would have to say.
Oh . . . you say you know his parents ??? Couldn't that be a solution to the problem, right in the problem ???
Uhhh...wow, Jami. Yikes!!! And, what kind of cats are you exercising and how? My cat is a fruitcake window licker, he stays indoors.
Comfy, I don't just know his parents, I adore his parents!! So, I don't want to hurt their feelings by being too blunt with their boy, know what I mean? I would really like to tell him to get out of my sight! But, I am shooting for direct and terse for now. Maybe shooting later!
