: Porns effect on life today
: fassopony Wed Feb 02, 2011 - 14:18:44
I am putting this here in the marriage folder because it is a very mature subject and typically, those of us having sex will be married.  There are many of us here who are single who will also be interested in this article.

This is written by a non-Christian, very secular point of view and author.  There is no Biblical or moral point made here (except the obvious to us Christians who know the evil effect of porn and fornication) except to explain the actual real life effect porn has on males and the girls they are having sex with.

**WARNING**  this article is explicit and contains sexual references.

I am hoping this will bring a good and thoughtful discussion here, especially since this topic (porn) seems to come up so much here.

I can certainly say I am in no way surprised by this article.  I can also say that before I was saved a little over two years ago, I was sexually active and noticed the very thing this article describes about males.  Back then I just assumed they, well, weren't very talented in that department.  Certainly explains things.

Here is the thing,

My father never viewed the stuff. I in turn never got into the habit of thinking it was ok to view. Even as an adult it never has been a habit. Sure I have seen some...I am a construction worker and a normal guy. But I have never made it a habit of viewing it regularly.

Soooo...the end result?

I have a libido that puts most 20-something guys to shame. ::clappingoverhead::

Porn is a type of delicious poison that a lot of people love to take....but it is poison just the same.

I think of it as rather ironic.

Men view porn for sexual gratification...and end up without any sexual or intimacy gratification in the end.

Oh, yeah, explicit.  Read it anyway.

Not exclusive to the secular world.  Or to men.  It's an addiction, and some places are finally offering treatment for it.

Everyone should read this article and weigh for themselves if the temporary gain is worth the permanent loss.
