Hello, I am a teenage Goth that needs some help. Let me first explain Goth to you and get the nasty, untrue stereotyping out of your head.
Goths do not typically worship Satan, do not practice Witchcraft, or love Death (some do, most don't). Being Goth is about appriciateing the Artistic, Darker side of life. Goths are known for their love of animals, music, reading, writing, romance, poetry, and drawing. They do NOT wear all black all the time. Some are in fact very classy and sophisticated. We respect our elders, parents, and those around us. We take in all the little details about the earth. There are differant types of Goth, mind you.
I am a Christian Goth. I go to church, I love and worship God, but all the other Christians hate me. I don't know what to do. I am not welcomed by them, because I am an "impurity". I feel like God is allowing me to be Goth, since I have been preaching to other Goths. The Goths listen to me, since I am one of them. The Christians however, wish to not be affiliated with me. Is it something I did wrong? I want the church to except me, but I am not going to give up being Goth, since I have helped so many other Goths become Christian Goths.
Please help, Thanks.
Who is Jesus to you? What of the fact that we are the light of the world and that we are to dwell in the light and not have anything to do with darkness?
Ecclesiastes 2:13
I thought, "Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.
Luke 11:35
Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.
Ephesians 5:8
For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
1 Thessalonians 5:5
For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night.

Jesus is God's Son, who died on the Cross to Save us all from our Sins. I love him very much.
When I said Darker side of life, I must not have been very clear. It is hard to explain... To me, the darker side of life would be respecting (not loving) the fact that we all die someday, and we should live our lives to the fullest. Bad things do happen, and Goths know this and except it. They know bad things happen, unlike most "normal" people, who try to hide from this. I appriciate the night time, like many others Goths, because it reminds me that not everything that is real can be seen, but are indeed there (like God). This is what I meant by the darker side of life. I hope that made sense, if it didn't I will try to make that clearer if possible.
There was a guy named Larry Norman back in the mid 1960s. He attended a church where it was considered a sin to have hair more than a couple of inches long (for a guy) His was shoulder length. Rock music was considered demonic. He was a rocker (invented "Jesus music" now called Contemporary Christhian) He received more grief from church folk than you can imagine. He was denounced personally in national publications from a dozen denominations. But he started reaching other hippies with the gospel and started the whole "Jesus Movement" revival single handedly. It brought tens of thousands of young people to the Lord. At least 2 new denominations came from it: Calvery Chapel and Vineyard.
If that is the place God has you to shine His light - shine on!

Reading this brought new hope into me. I believe this is what I am placed on this Earth to do. Thank you for posting this. This inspires me even more.

Right-thinking Christians don't hide from bad things happening. We know they do happen, but we know we have victory in Christ.
Appreciating the night as opposed to any other time of the day is a strange affectation, and I believe it is simply an excuse to hold onto dark patterns of thought that are not of God.

What do you mean when you say that other believers 'hate' you?. I find this surprising. You wouldnt be hated in our church, but accepted as anyone else is. What churches have you been to so far?

Well, I am just a young teenager, so I don't think my parents would like me putting where I have been and where I am currently on the internet for the world to see. But I will tell you babtist churches and methodist churches are not fans of Goths (or atleast the ones I have been too). I also go to a Christian school where the kids stare, point fingers, and whisper about me as I pass by, even when I am dressed mostly normal, wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans, as well as a little black eyeliner. I truely don't understand this behavior..
I have also been bullied, teased, harrassed, ect by other Christians for being a "freak", "punk", "weird kid", "satanic devil worshipper" (which I can assure you I am NOT. That comment made me cry for the longest time...) ect.

Yes, I understand. I don't wear skulls or t-shirts with writing on them to church. I keep it modest, with a little eyeliner (not raccoon eyes. the second I say eyeliner it's assumed I put it all around my entire eye)

Unfortunately that can happen in many circles. People can get a certain image in their mind of what is "right" and "acceptable." IT happend in Jesus' day and it still happens today.
Another story. The List owner of www.themarriagebed.com (http://www.themarriagebed.com) (a christian site dealing with marital issues) had a friend when he lived in Austin TX that had been a pastor of a church there when one day God told him to leave that position and apply to be a cabbie. He was about 6 ft 8 and close to 400 lbs. He had a lot of tats and drove his cab in the roughest sections of town overnight. His main clientelle were the women who worked in the stripper bars. They felt safe with him.
As a result, he ended up leading a LOT more people to the Lord than he ever did pastoring a congregation. Those people would never show up in a regular church, but they showed up in his church, that cab.

Shouldn't be any problem. Vineyards are used to out-of-the-mainstream people. Calvary Chapels? Maybe not so much anymore like they used to be. (I've attended both.)

Thank you for the inspirational story. I expected to be disliked and teased by people for being Goth, but never did I except this from Christians. The ones at church think they are so fancy and pure, yet they crush my feelings the second an adult leaves. They think they are better than me.

I will say that I am proud of you. You sound like you have a wonderful heart, and you know what the Lord has laid out for you. I believe you will continue to grow in your understanding of Gods plan and will be very useful in doing His wonderful works. You must know that we as Christians will be persecuted by others, even other Christians. So do not harden your heart towards others, love them. If you can get that at this young age you will be very victorious in life. Here are a few scriptures to help increase your faith. Keep going and rely only on God through the Holy Spirit to lead you in all truth. He will let you know what is right and what is wrong.
Gal 6:4 Don't compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of.
(This I post becasue we should not compare ourselves to anyone else. Fittng in is a nice thing but you can not please everyone all the time. And know that that is ok.)
1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.
1Co 13:5 Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
1Co 13:6 Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.
1Co 13:7 Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.
Learning how to love is a great leason. If you can do this in everything/everyone that comes your way you will always be pleasing to God, becasue God is Love ::smile::
Keep on going the way you are and you will be blessed and you will be a blessing to others. If you fall along the way, just pick yourself up dust yourself off and know that God loves you just the way you are.
Truly and Humbly Yours

I'm off to the gym right now. But if no one explains the concept of the Radical Middle before I get back, I'll try to explain it to you. I imagine Dave will fill you in, though.
Thank you, your messages really helped.

Who is Jesus to you? What of the fact that we are the light of the world and that we are to dwell in the light and not have anything to do with darkness?
Ecclesiastes 2:13

Luke 11:35

Right-thinking Christians don't hide from bad things happening. We know they do happen, but we know we have victory in Christ.
Appreciating the night as opposed to any other time of the day is a strange affectation, and I believe it is simply an excuse to hold onto dark patterns of thought that are not of God.
I did not join this site to be critisized, but to recieve the love and help I am lacking from other Christians. And God created the morning and the night. So why is it not a sin to love the morning, but a sin to love the night? God created both for mankind and the earth.
You tell me. Why do you talk about loving the night? Who doesn't appreciate every part of the day that God has created? What does scripture teach us about those who love the cover of darkness?
I never once said I don't love the morning as well... Goodness.. Just nevermind. I do not want to argue with you over such a silly matter of morning and night.
I have been to a vineyard church and presently go to a New Frontiers church. Both are relaxed and informal. I cant speak for all churches of these denominations, but the ones that I have been to would never hate you or shun you..
Just a question, why do you feel the need to wear eyeliner if you dont mind me asking. The goths that I have known (my kids had t a few goth friends) were either that way because they were mixed up, unhappy and had messed up lives, or because they were seeking to rebel and/or shock. Do you think that these two things are the case with those that you mix with? What do you think makes you be attracted to the dark things of life?
Dear brother in Christ. I have dealt with a Goth Christian, and been pleasantly surprised at their love of the Lord. I can no longer remember the musical group or singer he liked, but they did glorify God in their music. On another forum at the time we were shut down from our discussion, and I am no longer there.
You state that your acceptance to spread God's word is due to your familiarity with, and being Goth, Now I would suggest that you may be selling yourself short. My experience is that when God gives you a gift, He makes the way for it. You need not dress in a tutu to evangelize ballerinas, become a prostitute to give hope to someone caught in that lifestyle, or paint your face black to be heard in an all black congregation.
A dear friend told of "One young man trying to tell his parents he loved to frequent the honkytonks and bars, and so he told them well now listen, I will meet people and I will witness to people in those places that will never darken the doors of your church, and his friend jumped in right then and he said, "Don't even go there, we know you're just as much of an alcoholic as we are, so don't try to preach to me along that line."
You also talked of not being accepted by some at church, but what of the world in general that does not understand your motives? Do your parents approve of your manner of dress for instance, will job interviews go well for you? We are told that men will know us by our fruits in Matthew 7:20. Do those you come into contact with recognize you as Christian, and I do not mean by carrying a six foot cross with you as you go. Many things dictate the success of our witness before man more than the manner of our dress.
If you enjoy the lifestyle, and you witness to them; he who wins souls is wise. I hope you don't take up witnessing to suicide bombers next, and think the only way to reach them is blowing you up.
Blessings in Christ Jesus. ::payattentiontome::

I am not shy to admit I am a fan of the Goth clothes and makeup, but I keep them clean and not too wild. The clothes I especially try to keep modest (No cussing, blood, smoking, ect on the t-shirts), and the makeup.. Well, I just feel it expresses myself.

If the goth culture there is anything like the heavy metal culture of the 80s and 90s, they will not listen to anyone that is not truly part of them and their culture. So if goth culture requres eye liner, then wear it.
But beware that most counter-cultures have certain intrinsic elements that are definately sinful.
In hippy culture it was drug use and indiscriminate sex.
In heavy metal culture it was drugs and violence.
In new age culture it was bowing to false earth gods.
Just make sure that what ever it is in goth culture, that you stay free from that aspect.
I will continue to reply when I have the time. But for now, I must go. I bid you all a very fond farewell

If you want to express the real you, then why do you copy loads of others? Why not be an individual and just be yourself?
The goth music that I have seen was very tied in with such things as suicide, and believe me, that is a horrible subject to be connected to. What we see and hear affects us all.
The way that I try and see it is, does what I do wear, say, and do in my life give glory to God or not? Is it making people notice God IN me, or just notice ME, because I am wearing something that is different and dark and rather shocking? Some thoughts. ::headscratch::

As you probably already know dear, you can find every answer in scripture....and the bible says for us to not argue with others about what they think is right or wrong, because then we might persuade them to do something against their own conscience...SO, don't let anyone persuade you to do what is against your conscience. ::smile::
The bible (Paul's writings) tell us to 'be all things to all people'....I would encourage you to read what he spoke about....he spoke a lot about how to minister to different kinds of people. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 and 10:32-33....but Paul teaches a lot about how to minister to many kinds of people, so you might want to spend a lot of time reading his writings.....and also, read the gospels. Jesus went into peoples homes who were despised, and ministered to and loved many kinds of people. Blessings to you!!

You sure you aren't Vineyard, Gal? Beautiful post.
The reason you are being shunned is because of an identity issue.
Number one:
All Christians are told to abstain from every appearance of evil...doesn't mean that you actually are involved in evil but your appearance suggests otherwise...so guess what? No Christian who does as God wants will go anywhere near you except to witness to you...and when you state that you already are a Christian they are off to greener pastures.
Number Two.
You don't hate your parents or siblings enough by comparison to your love for God. So your love for God obviously needs to go up...otherwise you cannot be a disciple of Jesus' . (Jesus' words and not mine and you really aren't supposed to hate your family either.)
But what I am pointing out is that Jesus is not the foremost thing always on your mind . You would rather promote to everyone that you feel in a dark mood than to try to show by examples of lovingkindness to everyone possible what God has done for you. Soooo...guess what? Again most Christians will not have anything to do with you.
Number Three.
As a goth your mood is displayed as black...IE miserable and unhappy. Extremely moody people do not attract at all...in fact they repel. People prefer the company of others who are in a happy mood and that are fun to be around...not someone who is about to start crying or really fussy from some kind of thing that is completely unrelated to them.
try going on a five minute tirade of whining and see who wants to stick around for the following five minutes...it ain't gonna be anyone that I know or wanna know...only psychologists might if you pay them enough and even then they want to fix your mood.
Soooo
All in all being a goth who claims to be a Christian is a sure fire way to have such a contradiction in statements that you will be all alone and shunned by everyone.

I was, lol...but long time ago. ::smile:: Why do you ask? (jus curious:) Say, Willie, how would you answer someone who would tell this person that they should abandon any appearance of evil? I don't believe that
that is what that scripture is saying. Evil would be actually going to a coven for instance....or a strip club...or wearing their clothes without any modesty. Whereas this is something that is in the realm of individuality. I also don't think Paul would teach the things he did if any and all differences among people were 'an appearance of evil' thing. Also, there are many ideas of what evil is. My husband's childhood church believed that it was evil for boys to have their hair longer then the top of their collar, so the men at the church would regularly cut the boys hair.

Agreed!! Something...a phase....someone goes through as they grow and try and find who they are.
lol....Vineyard, yes. I also went to a Calvary Chapel.....but where I got so much of the teaching that I still embrace...very thorough teaching, was Jesus People Church in Mpls. It disbanned a long time ago altho one of the pastors has tried to resurrect it again, to many's chagrin. It was a church that came out of the end of the Jesus movement, and the thirst to know the truth's of scripture there was ravenous. I even wen t to a 5 week bible boot camp and we had 4 hours of teaching everyday. Great teachers came and taught from all over the country. I have wonderful memories...and about what amazing things God did back then when faith was so childlike/pure and immense.
To sum up some things (replying to each and every message is tough): I love God very much, and I don't understand about all the hateing. I never once said I hate someone. Also, being Goth is not a phase I am going though. I have been Goth since I was very little, mind you. Yes, my parents do except it, as long as I am modest.
I am very individual as well, often being told by adults that I am very intelligent (just not spelling wise, heh) and extreamly creative and unique.
I stay away from suicidal music. Some "Goth" bands are very STEREOTYPE or are POSEUR bands, making evil music and wearing all black all the time. Goths don't wear all black all the time (I even wear yellow!), nor are we moody or deppressed. That, dear readers, would be known as an "Emo kid". I can assure all of you, I am much to hyper and quirky to be emo. I do get emotional sometimes (I am not apathetic), but I am certainly not depressed, suicidal, or do I ever cause bodily harm to myself or others.
I understand you. I'm a dark artist. Gothic Art & culture does appear in my art all the time. I have my own dark site. There is nothing wrong with it.
I love to express myself in music and art. It is merely an old hobby for me since i was a child.
I also love dark makeup but I do not overdo it because I do not want to look ugly. I think I look pretty with little black nails and dark eyes.
some Christians can be actually 'Pharisees' and worse. You just have to move on and ignore all the bigots in your life.
I also had to remove my piercing when I go to my church because those are the rules there, but well as soon as I get out I just put them in again.
and I do not mind to leave a church that does not accept me. so just find a more informal church. Jesus said do not judge other based on the outside.
The problem is NA people most of the time are so very religious and close minded. In EU, I had no problems and did not meet bigots in france.
------
Question: "What is the Christian perspective on Goth? How should Christians view the Gothic movement?"
Answer: A Christian's viewpoint on the Gothic movement should be avoidance of the culture while loving those involved in it. Yes, there are definitely certain aspects of the Gothic subculture that are incompatible with Christianity, but no more so than similar aspects of mainstream society. The Gothic community identifies itself with artistic darkness—darker clothing, darker writing, darker music. It would seem that all Goths share the same level of devotion to this darkness. However, this varies with the individual. What is important to understand is that, for most Goths, it is a "dark" aesthetic they subscribe to, not darkness as it relates to evil. Wearing black clothing is not inherently sinful. Enjoying art that emphasizes black is not inherently sinful. There is nothing evil about the color black.
The Gothic subculture is no more inherently wicked or wrong than any other subculture. Condemnation of Gothic adherents is usually a knee-jerk reaction to their appearance. We need to be beyond that, though for, like all of us, they are people who desperately need Christ in their lives. Can Goths come to faith in Christ and still involve themselves in a dark aesthetic? If they are glorifying Christ in what they do, possibly. We cannot impose our own spiritual maturity on them. Let the Christian Goth wrestle with his/her ideologies as God brings them out for scrutiny. What we can do is provide them with support, counsel, and love.
Conforming to the image of Christ does not mean you must stop wearing black and dress like every other upper-middle class American / Western European. That has nothing to do with Christianity. It does mean, though, that a Goth's mindset and attitudes will undergo a change, though the black clothes and attraction to darkness might remain to a certain extent. It is the heart that God searches (1 Chronicles 28:9), thus the heart is what we must first look at ourselves, whether it be among Goths, punks, gamers, jocks, etc.

Finally! Yes! Someone who understands what I'm going through, how I feel, and who I am.
And by the way, some of you seem to be forgetting that I am a teenager, a young one at that. I am only a child, so I may not understand everything you are throwing my way.

Flawed....please forgive me for any way that I offended you. Did you read post #33? That is the one that is really from me....my daughter (who is 18 now) went thru a Goth period, and it was a phase for her. You are right, we cannot put people in groups and say they all act a certain way....(but, #33 is very apropos to your situation:)
Blessings!!!
Say, think about going to YouTube and put Larry Norman in the search....he was basically the beginning of Christian rock and many of us were not allowed to listen to him. Put his name in and 'The Outlaw" ...find this song with the lyrics. Also, his others...I listen to him still (I'm 54)

No no no no, *smiles* ma'am you didn't offend me one bit. I was just honestly admitting I don't understand some details about what some people have told me. I was just saying I am young and I know for a fact I am not smarter than adults, so I may need to have a few things broken down for me in simpler statements to where I can know what you all are talking about, that's all.

Yellow is the color of the sun, our worldy warmth that God gave to us to sheild us from the cold. Are you, Sir, accusing God's wonderful creation, made to keep us alive and well, of being horrible and hopeless? Poor dear, you must life a very unhappy and cold life. ::giggle::

No Ma'am, I am not emo (I would never ever cut myself and I am not depressed. When I am depressed I go and pray really hard for a few days, then I'm perfectly fine and happy again. I feel very renewed after that)
You see, a lot of emo kids become
stereotype goths (obsessed with death, wear all black all the time, lurk around unhappy all the time, ect. And stereotype goths are not true goths, trust me. Some of the happiest, kindest people I know are goths) because they want those around them to see their pain, and also several (but not all, mind you) emo kids want to be feared.
Emo people usually love violence, pain, and blood (how could they not? They cut themselves either for pure pleasure or to "get rid" of their inner pain by the pain of their outer body). Almost all goths are Pacifists, believe it or not. Against violence to others or themselves (violent movies are out of the question though. Who doesn't love a good action movie?)
People who think Emo and Goth are similer is usually because said people don't know everything about those two very differant groups of people. (I am honestly not saying any of you are dumb. This stuff about Goth and Emo is not common knowledge.)
Goths suprisingly are
very open to other religions than their own. There are Christian, Buddist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan (sadly), Atheist, and yes the dreaded Satanists. Any religion, gender, age, race, ect can be Goth. Also, I am not Gay. I get asked this a lot. Being Gay/Lez/Bi to be Goth are also stereotype, as well as Goths use drugs, Goths drink alchohol, Goths smoke, Goths are sex addicts, ect. These things are very untrue to the name Goth. Yes, a few Goths may do/be these things, but it is certainly not something "required" to being Goth. Most of us (including me) do not do them and don't ever want to do them. And, people say there are rules to being Goth (doing/loving all the stereotype things I have listed), but this is silly. Goths don't have rules. The only thing we prefure you to be if you want to become Goth is that you are Artistic and Creative. And we certainly won't push you to be those things if you aren't. We except everyone.

They only thing we prefure you to be if you want to become Goth is that you are Artistic and Creative. And we certainly won't push you to be those things if you aren't. We except everyone.
Emo is very differant from Goth in many ways.
Thanks for clearing that up, Emo is destructive.
BTW, I started the Goth trend in the 80's. ::cool::
Welcome, and okay sure haha
Also, thanks everyone for telling me about Larry Norman. I like him very much ::smile::
Hey Flawed - did you like the Larry Norman songs?
I just had a strange thought. Norman was at his heyday about 40 years ago. He brought rock music to the church. I was about your age when I started listening to him.
BACK THEN, if someone had played pop music from 40 years earlier, it would have been nothing I recognized at all. It would have been late ragtime, or early big band jazz.
Anyway - I hope you liked them.

ETA:
I guess we cross posted. Glad you liked him.
Yes Sir, thank you. I like them very much.

I think a problem with Goth is that it's tied with being emo. Do you consider yourself emo FlawedWings? That could lead to a lack of discipline when it comes to controlling the emotions.
No Ma'am, I am not emo (I would never ever cut myself and I am not depressed. When I am depressed I go and pray really hard for a few days, then I'm perfectly find and happy again. I feel very renewed after that)
You see, a lot of emo kids become stereotype goths (obsessed with death, wear all black all the time, lurk around unhappy all the time, ect.

I married a virgin jock too and we both wear mostly black. Still a non conformist at heart though, always will be.
This site has helped me a lot through my problems and I am really glad to have gotten to talk with you all about my struggles, and I am so greatful you all were kind enough to help me.
I'm glad God helped me decide a few days ago to type in Christian Advice Forum in the search box and He had me click on this one. ::smile::
The first rap song I ever heard was on Norman's "Only Visiting this Planet" album.
Readers Digest:
Yeah - the background music is different, but the rap vocal style had not been linked with the R&B yet. On the next album "So Long Ago the Garden" he had another rap over a medium blues background called "Nightmare #71."
HahahahahaI love it! The rap one is awesome! Thanks! ::giggle::

FlawWings......did you listen to the Larry N. song I put out...it's my favorite!! "The Outlaw"
Yes ela, I listened to it. It was very nice and uplifting. All the songs are incredible, thanks
Being a Goth (a dark artist) for me is ALL about fashion (awesome lovely black dresses and Lolita jewelry! I'm loving it!) redish/blue/pinkish hair style & little dark eye makeup. It is pretty cute! if you know how to do it :)
some Goths may overdo it and they end up being very very ugly and disgusting :(
I really care how I look!
I used to wear those long golden chains that are going from my nose directly linked to my ear lol. Dad told me it looked horrible on me but well I used to like it.
Then, it is all about art and music for me —my art most of the time will be something like Victoria Frances; a pretty (classic) gothic art, I think.
I made this a long time ago:

here are some Victorian F. ART:

I usually refer to myself as a 'dark artist' nothing more and nothing less. I would say "gothic art" is a part of me. it won't hurt to call me a goth as well. I do paintings about death, vampires but most of the time they are dark angels/goddess and some dark legends & myth or fairies. I have no limit in my art and no rules to follow (as long as it is dark or black!) sometimes it is just lovely 'black' art depending on my inspiration or mood. Art is only art! I do not need rules or someone to tell me do this or do NOTdo that when I paint. I'm adult and this my only hobby.
Some pretty gothic things:

And of course there is a gothic music, gothic books, and gothic fiction... etc...
As long as you're not hurting yourself or others then it is ok
Also do not hurt your relationship with God =)
Thanks Lily! Those are beautiful. I love the fashion too! I am obsessed with Victorian clothes. The pretty Goth works on guys as well, such as lace and frills, classical themes, and hauntingly beautiful expressions.
FlawedWings, I know exactly how you feel. I felt kind of "left out" of my youth group too. Thankfully, I'm going to college. On the other hand, I often run into a LOT of my past "fellow 'Christian'" youth weekly, since I live at home and go to a Junior College. Every week I go to the same old church. I love the pastor(s) and the worship band, but often times I felt pretty uncomfortable in the youth group. So many judgments and rumors and people "ganging up" on me in pointless arguments. They act like children rather than pre-adults. It's sad really.
To make my point a little shorter, you aren't alone. I had to go through a lot of false judgments and mistreatments, even, at least how I felt, from my youth pastor himself. Rumors and gossip go a long way I suppose. Just remember that it gets better in college, at least for me; people start acting their age and make wiser decisions rather than shorter, harsher ones. Hang in there bro!
And remember, God knows your deepest desires and passions - and He encourages them! Don't feel obligated to change yourself because other "Christians" are judging you. They don't know you like God knows you. Just don't use that as an excuse to do whatever you would like though; with that being said, I completely support your decision to be a Goth. Express yourself 8)
Although I am not Goth, I do have piercings. I am sure people look down on me for that. But God loves me and you the same! Even when we stumble and fall, God will always love us! There is nothing wrong with being you! God loves ya! I think it is very un-christianly to judge someone for being Goth! Or judging me for having something as simple as a nose ring. People should practice what they preach. Matthew 7:1 - Judge not, that ye be not judged. We all sin and make mistakes, but thanks to the blood of Jesus we are cleansed!
their the ones that are sining just be yourself that aint right !
wow.. I haven't been on in forever... I just want to say what I posted about emos was untrue. I judged them just like I wad judged. I talked to some true emos and got everything sorted out. I was wrong for judging them. I'm sorry
I am a Metal head people judge me too.
