: Alabama - the real #1 team?
: Psalm 51 Wed Oct 24, 2012 - 08:44:42
As a fan of the Crimson Tide I am thrilled to see them at #1, but to be honest, they haven't really been tested this season by any of the top ranked teams. Could they really beat a very good Florida in the SEC championship, if they get that far? For that matter, will they get past Mississippi State or LSU? I'd like to believe they are a really good team...incredible defense...but do they have what it takes to finish the season at #1 again? There are some teams, like Florida, Oregon, Kansas State, or Notre Dame that might argue they deserve some attention too.

Any thoughts?

Yeah.

I hope they are the number one team as I just cringe when I think that Noter dumb is even in the championship game.

Well, most of your questions have been answered........they were certainly "tested," and although they suffered a bruise, they remained steadfast................and won the SEC Championship......(which more than a few folks consider the real NC Game).

Betwixt them and anodder NC?  ND.  The Irish have a good defense........and a capable offense.......and it should be a good game.  Could be a real "defensive" barn burner with the team who makes a late mistake being the one to lose.

That being said, it would not suprise me whatsoever to see BAMA ROLL.................14 points or better over ND.  I could easily believe a score such as...........BAMA 38.............ND......20

(but, that's just me........so don't bank on it)
