: Any advice about Long Distance?
: kingdomseeker Thu Jul 03, 2014 - 01:48:07
Okay, here's how it went. I just finished an overseas bible school and met the love of my life there. We are so in love, and although we are only 20 we know that this is it, we have had so much confirmation that God truly brought us together to be together. The only problem is that I live in Vancouver, Canada, and he's in Dallas, Texas. We're both passionate about our futures living out the kingdom of God, and we know it's together, but we don't know how to work out the details.  ::doh:: Neither of us have the peace to move to where each other is, neither of us have a strong call in a specific ministry yet and we are newly-broke bible school alumni, so visiting will be difficult. It seems like all the odds are against us, but we know God is going to open doors for us! But what to do? Does anyone have any advice for us? I don't know what my next move should be.
           Thank you, kindly!

Its very hard to maintain such a long distance relationship over a long period of time. If you could visit each other perhaps 4 or 5 times a year for holidays then that would help to get to know each other in your own surroundings, and meet each others families and church and friends.

I think if you are both 100% sure this is 'it', one of you will at somer point have to move to be near the other(if you can do that with visas etc). Maybe for a set time of 6 months or to see how things go.   Of course of you eventually marry that will have to happen anyway.

If God brought you together to be together He will work out the logistics. God worked out some extraordinary circumstances to bring me to where I am today, I am still amazed by it. There is no way I could have engineered that myself. Keep praying.
