: Waiting for Him or Should I?
: ponygals Fri Jul 18, 2014 - 01:58:14
This deals with that guy that lives 5-6 hours away from me. I was the one to first message him on July 15, 2014 at 11:11:01 PM.

Then that night on July 16, 2014 at 2:12:35 AM was my last message and at 2:27:12 AM was his last message.

Later on that day July 16, 2014 at 12:12:53 PM I was the one to reply to his previous message he had sent at 2:27:12 AM.

From that point we continued talking long into the night until July 17, 1:10:48 AM was my last message and then his message was at 1:11:53 AM with me following at 1:34:49 AM.

So since it was me who messaged him last around 1:34:49 AM and it's now 12AM and no word from him since he's been at work for the day but I did see him on the dating site twice throughout the night but no reply to my message.

Should I continue waiting to hear from him or should I just send him a message? Or does it not even matter?

ponygals, if he doesn't reply, then sadly you can take it that he isn't interested:-(

MY advise, try and met a guy who lives much nearer to you, and who you can meet in person much sooner.

All depending upon the information that was related during your conversation.

Guys are analytical.  He has to think @your answers.

He never replied to me last night and no word from him today. And yeah I know I should try for a local person but I've tried that and this guy fits everything I am looking for in a guy. He wants marriage, he doesn't want kids, he likes my style of music, and he doesn't drink, smoke, or do drugs.

If he was messaging a lot and then suddenly stopped, I am guessing that is for a reason. It was only 2 days and you cant know someone in that time.

I got to know several guys that way before I met my prince. Some I stopped contacting and some stopped contacting me, its normal for a dating site.

As I said before you will have a very hard time meeting a man who doesn't want children. I have never met a man who didn't.  Is there any reason why you don't? Also just curious as to why you have come to a Christian site when you said on another thread that you arent interested in becoming one?

I thought we were covering a lot of topics from previous relationships to dating, and not wanting kids to favorite music, movies, TV, video games, sports, family, etc.

Well this guy does not want kids and I don't want kids because I am not responsible enough to have them and don't want a minnie version of me running around. And I just don't want them whats wrong with that? It's not against the law to not have kids.

Because I thought Christian would be nice enough to help me by giving me some advice and not care if I was not Christian or not. And no I do not plan to become a Christian and go to church etc. I have my own beliefs and ways of believing in our Lord.

If you want to message him, do so.  What is the worst that can happen?

John mentioned guys can be analytic, judging from your first post here, some girls can be also.  ::smile::

My advice would be try to remain aloof, by that I don't mean "hard to get" rather a few degrees warmer than that.  Don't get too invested too quickly, not only can this be hard on your emotional state, it can turn others away also.

But isn't it bad if it's always me making the first move and always messaging or calling or texting him first just to get him to talk?

I guess it depends a bit on the content of your last message, and whether it required a response or not.  Regardless, I see nothing wrong with just a short message saying hi, and giving him another opportunity to make the next move.   ::shrug::

So you believe in Jesus but say you arent a Christian? How does that work?
The thing is that we tend to give advise from a Christian point of view, and if you arent, and the man you are looking for isnt, it may not be the right advise.

NO no law against not having children, but its very rare not to want them and there is usually a reason. I am just wondering if you are young and may change your mind in 5 or 10 years? That does happen.

Yes its not a good sign is it if you always had to make the first move. Remember it was only TWO DAYS, thats nothing.  You will probably have many false starts like that looking for someone on line.
