Does this last for all eternity? ::smile::
And that's not even including the NSA.

Where do you find a "warning level?"
On your profile. You can only see your own. If you don't see a number, it is 0.
10-30% is "watched"
35-55% is "moderated" (posts must be approved before they show on the forum)
60-100% is "muted" (user cannot post or send PMs)
I understand that Rockwell's profile also shows the "being watched" status.

It does not last forever. It gradually comes down. Mine has. I was shocked to find out that mine was at 35%.

I'm guessing that yours would go down to 0% if you came back to the faith, Victor.

Catholica, I am almost certain the warning level has to do with breaking the rules, not about my faith.
I think the warning came after some articles I posted on homosexuality.
As to my faith, that's in God's hands. ::smile::
Oh, almost forgot, my warning level is now at 5%.

Warning levels are not based on one's faith (or lack there of), but on violating the rules. Length of the warning has to do with how many times the rules get violated by a particular user.
That being said, all the moderators are human, so the level may remain longer than we would all like. Fortunately, it is easily fixed through communication.

As long as no other rules are broken, the warning will usually be removed within 30 days.

In reality its completely random.
A moderator got mad at me once for reposting something that he claimed as plagiarism after being told not to. In reality I didn't repost it; it's presence on the board was a result of his trying to cull my post from a thread and instead culling the original thread, which left my post by itself on the baord, which made it look like I reposted when I didn't. That was a year ago. After he cooled down he reduced it to 5% from 35%. After that he claimed that I was making personal attacks and mine went up to 15% where it remained for 6 months before anyone did anything, and only then it was my not responding to attacks that got it reduced back to 5%. That was six months ago now and it hasn't moved.
Bottom line, its completely up to the moderators where they set you and whether your watch level gets reduced if ever.

I remember the incident. I know you've been around here long enough to know that the moderators are not to go against another moderator's decision unless it is agreed upon in the upper room. In your case the moderator simply would not let up regardless of what others felt was right, that said, mods are human and quite fallible but we try to do our best and at the same time respect Admin's decisions.
On a side note, SMF forums gives the option to publicly display warnings or hide them from other members, on our forum here Admin has opted to hide the warnings so only you know that you have received a warning, a good choice by Admin IMHO.

Yes, I suppose it is. What I stated was the
goal. Speaking for myself, sometimes it's hard to remember who I gave a warning to for what, and who I need to check back on when. I'm not here every day, and I don't even try to read all the posts, so if I don't happen to read something by a member who is due to have their warning level reduced, I'm quite likely to forget.
That was six months ago now and it hasn't moved.
I took care of that. 5% doesn't show up next to a member's name or on the watch list like higher percentages do, so unless we look at your profile page we don't know it's there.
Bottom line, its completely up to the moderators where they set you and whether your watch level gets reduced if ever.
Yes, but it is always acceptable to PM a moderator and ask about it.

TO ALL:
In January we declared a "Jubilee" and reduced all active members' moderation levels to 0 except for those who had been muted. Obviously we missed those like Catholica who had 5%. Anyone who had a warning before January that was not reduced can send me a PM and I will take care of it ASAP.

Now that was a gracious act...I'm wondering if Uncle Sam might do that for me April 15th, when my taxes are due to be paid?? I'm thinking he may not~but would it not be wonderful, just one time. I'm anxiously waiting to hear from my accountant today or tomorrow to see if I'm having crackers or steaks Friday night.

Not that it matters much, but you actually have until April 18th to file your taxes this year. April 16th is Emancipation Day. Though not a national holiday, it is observed in Washington D.C. Since the 16th falls on a Saturday, it is being observed on the 15th this year, thus pushing the tax deadline to Monday.

And even here just outside DC, we sent our tax forms to OHIO. So why does a DC-only holiday affect it?
One of the mysteries of life, I guess.
I have had no problems at all with any mods. They have been great to me. And really Christ like. Been on some boards when it is the other way around. You just have to realize you can do this in a Christ like agree to disagree manner. As well as the mods and administrators have tough jobs. It is no cakewalk for them. But really have had no problem. And for that, thank you for that. God bless! Romans 12:19!
Yes I could name some site where 99plus percent here would be ban because they do not adhere to a specific set of doctrines. We are human but IMO do a good job of being fair to all.
